We are looking for network engineer that focusing on technical troubleshooting and break-fix activity. Candidates are also expected to have certain level of programming skillset (DEVOPS) to help us innovate ways to scale with automation and operational improvements.

Responsibilities:

Provide Technical Support for Citibank’s global network with a focus on network infrastructure in:

• 85% ‘Break/Fix’ support of standard enterprise Cisco Internetworking Technology solutions
• 15% ‘Break/Fix’ support for Internetworking technology infrastructure solutions such as Load Balancers (F5 and Citrix) Juniper Routers Arista Switches VoIP Appliances WiFi /Wireless communications support Other small pockets of both new and legacy internetworking technologies managed by Citi Networks
• Provide timely response to phone calls into the Technical Support hotline from internal colleagues within CTI, Citi business clients, vendors, and others.
• Coordinate conference calls to conduct in depth technical reviews on ongoing incidents

Major Incident Support:

• Represent on conference calls for business impacting incidents which may or may not be due to a failure in networks managed technology infrastructure
• Drive major incident conference calls as a representative of networks through consistent, professional, and highly assertive communication
• Maintain focus and poise for the duration of the major incident support cycle and work through all challenges with a results-oriented attitude and relentless focus on enhanced customer service through rapid incident resolution
• Collaborate with Networks SMEs, SDMs, Vendor Support Teams, etc, with the goal of aligning all parties towards achieving incident resolution as quickly as possible

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in providing network operations supporting a network with 1000+ nodes.
• NOC (Network Operations Center) experience or large financial institution network operation/implementation experience is highly preferred.
• Intermediate level working knowledge of enterprise TCP/IP communications (IPv4, QoS, IPSEC, VPN, etc)
• Experience in supporting Load Balancers, DNS, DHCP.
• Good knowledge of network protocol analysis using industry standard toolsets such as Wireshark capable of performing in-depth packet capture analysis.
• Good working knowledge following routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, RIP, Multicast
• Good working knowledge of IPSLA probes, EEM Applets, application specific network performance analysis, and TCP/IP optimization mechanisms for maximizing application performance across enterprise networks
• Good working knowledge of common security threats facing enterprise networks including DDOS (Distributed Denial of Service) and various defensive mechanisms and threat mitigation strategies.
• Industry certifications includes: CCNA, CCNP,ITIL, and etc.
• Good knowledge in SDWAN technology.
• Automation skills in Python, shell, bash, and/or other languages
• Experience with Puppet, Ansible, or other automation frameworks

The successful candidate will play an integral role within the IT Service Management Ops leadership team. Armed with a strategic focus and experience in application infrastructure resiliency as well as operational stability the candidate is expected to lead the swift service recovery from complex incidents and managing disaster recovery ensuring high service availability and customer satisfaction in IT service delivery. This position is crucial in ensuring operational stability, which includes leading improvements through process review/transformation and implementation of new initiatives and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

•Take ownership of critical incidents, facilitating resolution with the parties involved, and conducting thorough root cause analyses and post-incident reviews to boost system resilience.

•Transforming and driving operational excellence and system resilience by proactively preventing defects and eliminating inefficiencies in current processes.

Requirements

•Possess a degree in Information Technology or related fields with Infrastructure Library (ITIL)/Service Integration and Management (SIAM) certification

•At least 8-10 yrs of relevant experience in IT Infrastructure Operations and IT Service Management inclusive of at least 3 years in leadership role

•Proven proficiency in utilizing Agile methodologies for operations management.

•Certification in Business Continuity Management (BCM) is preferred but not mandatory

•Knowledge and hands-on experience with the ServiceNow Platform are preferred, with certifications in ITSM CAS, CAD, or CIS considered a bonus.

•Familiarity with network and cloud technologies (public, private), including Linux, Wintel, VMware, and DevOps.

•Proficiency in collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint, JIRA, and Confluence, and monitoring/orchestration platforms like ScienceLogic, Splunk, and APM.
