RESPONSIBILITIES

The Project Officer, sits within MINDS Institute (MI) and reports to the Assistant Manager, MI.

S/He is responsible for the development of an inclusive sports application for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PWIDs), taking reference from existing created prototypes. S/He is expected to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that the application is designed and built in an accessible manner according to the needs of PWIDs.

S/He should possess knowledge and skills in areas of programming languages for app development (Android and iOS platforms), UI/UX design principles and data security. S/He should also have an interest in interacting and working with PWIDs.

To provide support for MI's app development project in the following ways:

• Programming and coding for an inclusive sports application that is compatible on mobile and desktop devices.
• Conducting focus group interviews, testing and observations with project participants
• Providing on-site support and follow-ups with projects participants when needed (e.g at participants homes or at MINDS centres)
• Providing administrative support to MI's projects, such as coordinating schedules with project participants
• Sharing updates on application development and consolidated inputs from various participants with internal and external stakeholders
• Facilitating effective communications between project partner(s) and participants, e.g paraphrasing project information in an accessible, easy-read manager for participants where necessary

Other details of the work

• Occasional commuting and non-office hours work can be expected: the staff will need to commute to where project participants and stakeholders are, and during non-office hours where necessary.

• Education: Diploma in Computer Engineering or similar fields; fresh graduates are welcome to apply

• Fluent in Eglish and another langugage (Mandarin, Malay or Tamil)

• Proficient in Programming Languages such as Python, C++, Java, etc.
• Proficient in Full Stack and Mobile development
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office programmes (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Able to commute occasionally where necessary
• Able to work outside of office hours occasionally when needed
• Experience with interacting with People With Intellectual Disability is a plus

Generally, the RTO shall be registered and maintain registration with IES throughout his or her service; and shall be responsible for the consistency of quality assurance inspections and reporting in a well-coordinated manner to ensure the contractor’s proper execution of works under the R&R contract.

(I) Regularly inspect and supervise contractors’ works and tests (if any) in accordance with specifications/technical requirements as set out in the R&R contract.
(II) Check and ensure all materials, construction and/or installations are in accordance with approved documents such as drawings, samples, and method statements.

(III) Keep quality and contemporaneous records of all works (showing progress photographs, the quantity of works, works arising from variation orders etc.) for monitoring and submitting reports as follows.

a. RTO site diary (to be submitted by 6pm daily),

b. Fortnight reports (once every 2 weeks),

c. Monthly reports (by end of each calendar month),

d. Incident reports.

(IV) To issue RTO Site Memos, on any deviations or non-compliant works observed to be carried out by the R&R contractor.
(V) Submit all required documents and reports via email or other electronic means (as may be decided by VBF) by stipulated time frame.
(VI) To attend to and handle all related feedbacks (including occupants’ feedbacks) onsite and keep a logbook of date and time of feedbacks and follow ups actions for closure of feedbacks.

(VII) Attend all meetings.

Working hours (on-site)
(I) 9.00am to 6.00pm (Mon to Fri) with 1 hour Lunch break, and 9.00am to 1.00pm (Sat)
(II) Leave – 7 days prorated accordingly per annum.
(III) MC – 14 days and including hospitalisation leave up to 60 days according to MOM

Termination notice
(I) 1 Month or otherwise stated.

Communication with Customer / Vendor

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum 2 years experiences in NVOCC environment, candidate without experience is welcome.

Knowledgeable on shipping documents, customs clearance, etc.

Knowledge in CargoWise for airfreight will be advantage.

Customer Service: -

The Customer Support Specialist collaborates with and supports an assigned Outside Sales Executive to ensure that all sales and customer support activities are handled proactively and efficiently, with a focus on customer satisfaction. The Customer Support Specialist completes all customer quotation requests and coordinates the tariff maintenance for all accepted quotes and rates issued to customers.

In this role, the Customer Support Specialist plays an important part in achieving our “Happy Customer” value through a dedicated focus on meeting customer needs.

Minimum Requirements:

High school or equivalent education; associate degree preferred.

Minimum 2 years of sales support and/ or customer service experience; logistics experience preferred.

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Strong MS Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
