About the Position

RESPONSIBILITIES

BW Group is seeking a HR Generalist (1 year contract) to join our HR Team with the responsibility to support different aspects of HR. Your primary focus will be on talent acquisition and company-wide engagement projects.

• Extensively support different functions in their talent acquisition needs, including developing job descriptions and job postings, overseeing candidate testing and shortlisting and helping with interviewing and selection
• Support young talent attraction and management programs including internships, scholarships and management associate programs
• Onboard new joiners; prepare employment contracts, collect onboarding documents and conduct orientation
• Maintain accurate updates of employee records in our HRIS system in accordance to GDPR/PDPA requirements
• Administer work passes, such as employment pass and dependent pass applications, renewal, cancellation, issuance and re-entry permits
• Administer employee benefits and assist in addressing employee queries e.g, medical insurance and leave benefits
• Prepare HR letters and maintain proper filing system e.gs. long service award letters, contract renewal and re-employment letters
• Organise company-wide employee engagement activities
• Process offboarding/employee exits, conduct exit interviews and feedback insights on attrition to management
• Support projects at a Group level as and when required
• Provide office administration support as and when required

• Degree holder in business, HR or other relevant discipline from a recognised university
• Min 3 years of relevant working experience in a fast-paced MNC environment
• Knowledge of Singapore's Employment Act

Position Overview: The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will play a critical role in ensuring the strategic and operational efficiency of WEnergy Global. The COO will be responsible for overseeing the Company's day-to-day operations, ensuring the successful execution of renewable energy projects, and driving continuous improvement across multiple projects with multiple technologies, in multiple countries with multiple stakeholders all at the same time. This position requires a dynamic and entrepreneurial leader with a deep understanding of the renewable energy sector, strong operational acumen, and a proven track record of managing complex projects and teams in the ASEAN region.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership:

• As a member of the Management Team of the Company, collaborate with the CEO and Heads of Departments to develop and implement the Company’s strategic plan fostering a culture of sustainability, compliance and excellence.
• Possess a keen, adaptive understanding and working experience of business environments especially in the Asia-Pacific, and the energy and industrial sector.
• Identify opportunities, including partnerships for project execution and the use of emerging new technologies, to ensure competitive advantage of operations.

2. Operational Management:

• Oversee the daily operations of the Company, including planning, engineering, procurement, construction, operations, monitoring and maintenance.
• Ensure efficient and effective execution of renewable energy projects, from inception to completion based on thorough data analytics and field observations.
• Implement best practices in project management and quality assurance, including quality control, process improvement, risk management, and safety and health management.

3. Financial Oversight:

• Develop and manage project budgets and the annual operating budget, ensuring financial sustainability and profitability.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze key metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Optimize resource allocation to maximize operational efficiency and project returns.

4. Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of professionals across various functions by leveraging unique strengths, skills and motivations.

5. Stakeholder Engagement:

Competences & Capabilities:

The successful Candidate will demonstrate the following capabilities and qualifications:

• Master’s degree in engineering, industrial-business administration, or a related field; a combination of engineering with business administration is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing small and large-scale renewable energy projects and complex operations, including hybrid power systems and smart power grids.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management, financial analysis, and operations planning with a strategic view.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, Six Sigma, and Operations Excellence and Safety Management or equivalents.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, nurturing people for growth.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
• Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Job description

• Conduct accurate monitoring, documenting and reporting of experimental results and/or research findings.
• Perform wet bench experiments in the laboratory, including molecular biology, CRISPR screening, biochemistry, drug screening, microscopy and next generation sequencing
• Perform animal experimentation including mice experimental models, mice health monitoring, drug dosing
• Maintain and upkeep biobank of tissues, cell lines and other biological materials
• Assist researchers in data analysis and literature review in various research projects.
• Contribute to project management, presentations, manuscript preparation & submission for publications.
• Assist with general upkeep of laboratory needs, provide technical support and establish work procedures to ongoing research projects and maintaining good safety record for lab audits.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described therein.

Relevant Experience

• An aptitude for research and at least 1 years of relevant work experience. Experience in molecular biology work and animal experimentation will be advantageous.
• Candidates with working knowledge in cancer will be desirable.
• Possess strong interpersonal communications skills with excellent written, oral communication and computer skills.
• A strong team player who is mature, open-minded, energetic, highly motivated and can work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team and diverse workforce.
