This entry-level role will build a foundation for a career in the precious metals industry, allowing the individual to learn first-hand from precious metals experts and acquire a hands-on working experience within the operations of a bullion dealer.

The Warehouse Assistant role will have the following responsibilities:

Warehouse Assistance

• Assist the Manager in warehousing operations and inventory audits

• Assist with processing of storage-related orders.

• Assist with inbound and outbound precious metals deliveries.

• Maintain cleanliness of warehouse.

Operational Support

• Assist in the processing of orders for shipment.

• Assist with the establishment and maintenance of Science (& Maths) Departments’ resources.
• Monitor and manage stock-taking of equipment and resource materials.
• Check deliveries & reorder essential items as necessary.
• Carry out and arrange for the maintenance and repair of apparatus and equipment. Upkeep required records and logs of all maintenance and servicing of equipment.
• Perform simple administrative and office work such as maintaining records and inventory stock lists, preparing labels and posters for science labs and liasing with vendors for quotations for items ordered.
• Operate and maintain basic office equipment and material.
• Any other jobs assigned by the school such as covering reception duties, packing of resources, or supporting the adhoc tasks needed for special school events and etc.

Requirements:

• Must possess GCE ‘O’ or its equivalent
• Preferably First-aid trained
• Good communication and inter-personal skills
• Meticulous with good planning and organizing abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office
• Candidates with the relevant experience working in school’s science laboratories and managing math’s manipulatives will be preferred.

Responsibilities

Cartons for Offsite Storage

• Pack the files in the cartons and list them using MS excel.
• Update the cartons numbers and serialised cable ties numbers in the inventory list and vendor portal
• Liaise with storage vendor for the storage of cartons

Cartons for Scanning

• Pack files according to carton list
• Perform quality check to ensure scanned document is tally with physical documents
• Liase with scanning vendor

Cartons for disposal

• Identify and segregate the files for disposal
• Witness disposal of files at vendor site
• Repack and list the files for further archival to be sent back to offsite storage

Other duties

• Ensure that number of physical cartons is tally with Master Listing
• Print outgoing letters received via email.
• Scan incoming documents.
• Sort outgoing letters from batch printout.
• Fold outgoing letters using folding machine.

Requirements

• Proficient in MS Office especially Excel (familiar with VLOOKUP
• Good communication skills
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Summary of Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are as listed below, but not limited to these:

REVENUE MANAGEMENT STRAGEGY SUPPORT

• Support the Hotel Management and Director of Revenue Management to define the hotel strategy (in terms of business mix and pricing by season and type of day) for the future periods

REVENUE MANAGEMENT PERFOMANCE

• Analyze in detail the hotels results and performance (average rates, occupancy rates, RevPAR..). Survey the market and competitors in terms of performance (RevPAR Index, market penetration…), pricing and availability as a basis for future tactical decisions with the Hotel GM.

REVENUE FORCASTING

• Ensure an accurate and dynamic forecast for the future dates(by room and revenue by segment and day) based on the RM referenced systems recommendations and a daily monitoring of the data (portfolio, booking pick-up,events, calendar events)

PRICING, PLANNING & DISTRIBUTION OPTIMISATION

• Take daily decisions to optimise the hotel turnover. Decisions in terms of pricing, inventory management (RMLs open/close), group quotation, distribution channels... Ensure that these recommendations are implemented in reservation and reception, and that systems (PMS, CRS/TARS, RMS) are updated accordingly. 

REVPRO CULTURE

• Ensure that a “RevPRO culture” is spread in the hotel, through the animation of weekly yield meetings and regular coaching and training sessions for the hotel teams
