Key Responsibilities
Quality Management:
Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality management system for food production processes, emphasizing compliance with Halal guidelines.
Establish and monitor quality control procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
Halal Compliance:
Ensure strict adherence to Halal guidelines and certifications in all aspects of food production.
Collaborate with certifying bodies and ensure ongoing compliance with Halal standards.
Food Safety Regulations:
Ensure adherence to local and international food safety regulations and standards, with a specific focus on Halal requirements.
Conduct regular audits to assess and enhance food safety practices, including those related to Halal processes.
Process Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency in the production cycle, aligning with Halal best practices.
Implement corrective actions to address quality issues, including those related to Halal compliance.
Supplier and Vendor Quality Assurance:
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the quality and Halal compliance of raw materials and ingredients.
Conduct quality assessments of suppliers and implement improvement plans as needed, with a specific focus on Halal sourcing.
Team Leadership:
Lead and develop a team of quality assurance professionals with a focus on Halal standards.
Provide training and guidance to ensure a culture of quality excellence and adherence to Halal principles.
Quality Reporting:
Generate regular reports on key quality performance indicators, including Halal compliance metrics.
Analyze data and trends to drive continuous improvement initiatives related to Halal standards.
Customer Satisfaction:
Work closely with other departments to address customer feedback related to product quality, especially those linked to Halal requirements.
Implement measures to enhance overall customer satisfaction, particularly within the Halal market.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay updated on changes in food safety regulations and standards, with a specific focus on Halal guidelines in Singapore.
Ensure the company's compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements related to Halal practices.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience in quality assurance within the food production industry, with a strong emphasis on Halal compliance.
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and Halal guidelines.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Certification in Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is desirable.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with Singapore's food safety and quality regulations, especially those related to Halal.
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).
Knowledge of risk assessment and management in food production, particularly with respect to Halal processes.
Familiar with FSMS implementation - ISO22000, FSSC22000, BRCGS
