• Foster and maintain a positive relationship with the union, liaise with union officials on industrial relations matters, and resolve grievances in line with legal requirements.
• Develop and implement HR and industrial relations policies, guidelines, and practices for the hotel.
• Review employee-related activities to ensure compliance with local legislation, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
• Network with other hotel HR practitioners to stay aligned on salary administration, compensation, and benefits.

Training:

• Work closely with Department Heads to assess training and development needs, maintaining open communication to improve employee skills, attitudes, and knowledge.
• Monitor training expenses to ensure they stay within budget.
• Prepare monthly and yearly reports on training activities.
• Oversee the maintenance of training records and ensure they are updated regularly.

Welfare:

We are looking to hire a Human Resource (HR) Manager to handle our HR operations and act as a strategic partner to the business units, providing expert advice on HR matters and aligning HR practices with the organization's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnership:

• Partner with business leaders to understand business goals and challenges, providing HR solutions that align with business strategies.
• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support the business objectives and drive organizational success.

Employee Relations:

• Act as a point of contact for employees on HR-related issues, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts.
• Promote a positive work environment and foster employee engagement through various initiatives.

Change Management:

• Support organizational change initiatives by providing guidance on change management practices and communication strategies.
• Ensure smooth transitions during restructuring or reorganization processes.

Learning and Development

• Identify training needs and collaborate with learning and development teams to deliver relevant programs.
• Facilitate leadership development and succession planning to build a strong talent pipeline.

Compliance and Policies:

• Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
• Develop and update HR policies and procedures to ensure they meet legal requirements and best practices.

Data and Analytics:

• Utilize HR metrics and data analytics to provide insights and recommendations for improving HR practices and business performance.
• Prepare and present reports on HR-related metrics to senior management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. A Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, CIPD) is a plus.
• Proven experience as an HR Manager / Business Partner or similar role, with a good understanding of HR best practices and business acumen.
• Strong knowledge of Singaporean employment laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficient in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.

Overview

The role will be part of the HR & Admin Department and is responsible for the full spectrum of Human Resource functions.

Responsibilities

· Reporting to HR Manager

· Support full spectrum of HR function (such as payroll, employee engagement/relations, compensation & benefits, learning & development)

· Responsible for employee lifecycle from on to off-boarding

· Be the subject matter expert for local employment legislation and provide advisory support for the business

· Manage statutory related matters such as pass application and government claims/grants

· Handled employee engagement/relations queries

· Maintain proper HR records including but not limited to benefits management and on & off-boarding

· Support in HR and organisational initiatives and activities

· Contribute in process improvement

• Carries out new / renewal of work permit applications for foreign workers and follows up with the purchase of bond guarantee;
• Co-ordinates with site staff on workers’ renewal and cancellation of work permit matters;
• Follows through on home leave application of foreign workers and seeks the necessary approvals;
• Purchases air ticket for resigning workers;
• Updates new worker details (passport, bank account no, work permit) in payroll system and worker particulars folder;
• Carries out computation of workers’ payroll and data entry in payroll system;
• Assists in the preparation of costing report by keying in the cost allocation in the payroll system after payroll processing;
• Assists in the reconciliation of credit card bills by matching the invoices with the receipts before passing on to Accounts Department;
• Carries out prompt update of staff and worker daily movement report;
• Follows up promptly on government application of foreign worker levy waiver;
• Carries out periodic checking of workers’ passport expiry dates;
• Carries out scanning and filing of workers documentation;

Job Scope

• Handle full spectrum of the HR function.
• Handle payroll process (headcount 150- 200), employee tax matters.
• Handle staff on-boarding and off-boarding.

• Process work passes application / renewal / cancellation / appeals and medical check-up arrangement.

Job Requirement

• Candidates must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in any field.
• At least 1 year of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
