SingHealth Experimental Medicine Centre runs several core facilities for translational research in SingHealth. Reporting to the Veterinarian, you will be responsible in supporting the implementation of policies and initiatives for animal husbandry and care.

You will be involved in the maintenance of animal inventory, equipment and facilities to ensure full compliance with the National Advisory Committee for Laboratory Animal Research (NACLAR) guidelines, Animal and Veterinary Service (AVS) requirements and American Association for Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC) international standards. You are also responsible for ensuring the provision of veterinary husbandry and care to support training and research activities in the centre. You will also be required to interact with researchers to facilitate veterinary operations in the department.

Requirements

• Diploma in Veterinary Science or Biological Science with minimum 1 year of relevant experience or GCE A / O / N Level with minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Ability to handle small and large animal work and perform shift duties, including weekends and public holidays
• Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills
• Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities:

• Involved in the direct sales process by managing new/existing accounts
• Drive sales revenue growth through new project identification, creation and cross-sell opportunities
• Identify & Work closely with clients to identify their IT Cybersecurity needs
• Maintaining great working relationships with clients
• Work with technical team to present a competitive analysis, proposals and solutions to response to client
• Responsible for preparation and submission of bids documents and proposals
• Liaise with Vendors/partners to establish great partnerships

Responsibilities:

• Ensure OHSAS compliance for School of Life Sciences, upkeep lab cleanliness and daily waste disposal
• Track and report stock and inventory of supplies and reagents required for the labs and replenish low supplies
• Timely procurement of all necessary chemicals, biological tools and general consumables
• Perform successful trial runs for all practical sessions
• Ensure complete and timely setups and running of all laboratory sessions for the School of Life Sciences
• Arrange for all scheduled equipment calibration/ servicing
• Ensure maintenance of all necessary laboratory documentation and arrange for license renewals
• Arrange, schedule and manage lab volunteers throughout the academic year
• Liaise with fellow lab staff, lecturers, university partners and any other external parties on matters pertaining to materials required for each module's lab requirements.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences with at least 1 to 2 years of technical experience in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology Lab work
• Possess excellent organisational and planning skills
• Proactive problem solver and team spirited
• Able to work on day shifts

· Provide hardware support and services to colleagues.

· Manage basic stock of IT equipment and place orders as necessary.

· Possess knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory (ADDS) and Firewall Administration, particularly with Sophos.

· Offer hands-on assistance with system setup onsite or guide users through the process remotely.

· Assist with installation and integration processes, address security issues, and manage program upgrades.

· Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting via phone or chat.

· Attend to various ad-hoc IT support requests as needed.
