Gut microbiota influences many areas of human health from immunity to energy metabolism and host physiology. The goal of our research group is to understand how bacterial metabolism, diet-microbe, and microbe-microbe interactions influence cardiometabolic disease (CMD). We will address the research question through a combination of experimental approaches including anaerobic bacterial physiology studies, metagenomics, and deep phenotypic characterization of mouse models of CMD.

A chemical manufaturing company located in the West is looking for electrical engineer.

Job Scope :

• Assist with electrical wiring and installation
• Attend to electrical breakdown and maintanance
• Design electrical diagram for the maunfacturing process line
• Troubleshoot on electrical fault and error
• Carry out preventive maintenance
• Assist wtih electrical sub-station servicing
• Able to work with Automation and SCADA

1.BIM Leadership:

• Provide strategic leadership in implementing BIM processes and standards across the team. The Area BIM Lead is reporting to the Area Lead and the MSO BIM Lead
• Develop and maintain BIM execution plans for projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.

2.Multi-Disciplinary Coordination:

• Able to handle Integrated Concurrent Engineering (ICE) meetings which are Internal and federated model to work collectively and in parallel to resolve identified design and construction issues instantly using BIM models and to mitigate the latency in decision making and responses.
• Using Navisworks to generate the Clash Detection Report and Bim Collab to enhance the report progress.
• To review and validate the models created by different disciplines to ensure they are clash-free, accurate, and compliant with project requirement
• Lead the coordination efforts among diverse engineering disciplines (e.g., civil, structural, mechanical, electrical) to ensure seamless integration of BIM processes.
• Conduct regular interdisciplinary coordination meetings to address complex design and construction challenges.
• Resolve clashes and conflicts in BIM models and facilitate coordination meetings using federated models and bcf issues (BIM Collab).
• Maintain records of all issued & received models/drawings, Clash Reports, etc. in accordance with the project standards and procedures

3.Quality Assurance:

• Establish and enforce BIM quality standards to ensure the accuracy and reliability of project models.
• Conduct regular reviews of BIM models to identify and resolve issues promptly.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

• Foster a culture of collaboration and open communication among all disciplines involved in the engineering JV.
• Work closely with Area Lead, Discipline Leads, BIM Lead, MSO BIM Lead, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of BIM processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience with at least 3 years’ experience in an engineering or construction company having successfully completed BIM production or coordination for at least 2 projects
• Extensive experience in BIM coordination within the engineering sector on major infrastructure project
• Proficiency in BIM software tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, BIM Collab).
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to BIM.
• Certifications in BIM or related fields are desirable.

Job Role:

• Prepare specifications/quotation, submit tenders and follow up
• Liaising and negotiating with clients
• Review construction plans and prepare quantity requirements
• Prepare variation orders, claims, final accounts, settlement, payments and warranties
• Monitor project cost and submit regular progress report
• Other ad hoc duties as assigned

NTU is leveraging learning analytics to improve teaching and learning as part of our Education Strategy 2025. This position is similar in nature to a business analyst but for advancing the use of data for teaching and learning purposes. The position is critical for developing a communication plan to get faculty and students buy-in on the learning analytics goals of the university. He or she would also be responsible for gathering faculty, students and schools’ teaching and learning needs, and translating the needs into meaningful learning analytics solutions. In addition, he or she is expected to have some technical competency in SQL, python and/or SharePoint, and to support the administration of key system Dataiku in compliance with the data and AI governance policy of the university.

Responsibilities

Communication, engagement and collaboration opportunities

• Conceptualise and execute a communication plan for learning analytics with various units in the university
• Engage students and support faculty champions to increase acceptance and adoption of learning analytics
• Communicate with end-users and analyse their business needs
• Manage and maintain the department website

Data management

• Support the data engineer in handling data request
• Manage the data science machine learning platform
• Work with director and data engineer to look into methods to ensure data and AI governance.

Project Management

• Provide support for learning analytics projects by helping to build dashboards and communications

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Business Analytics or Data Science and related fields
• At least two years of experience as a business analyst or experiences working on data related project
• Prior experience working in a university setting is highly preferred
• Proficient in statistics,
• Some knowledge of machine learning approaches and AI approaches including discriminative and generative
• Some idea of the various data governance framework issued by PDPA
• Strong communication and networking skills
• Strong ability in translating user needs into a data science problem
• Good understanding of data science or analytics and governance
• Good technical skills such as python programming, system administration
• Experiences in developing dashboards and other visualization tools such as Qliksense and Power BI would be ideal
