The National Robotics Programme Office (NRPO) is responsible for catalysing differentiated robotics R&D capabilities at our Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) and Research Institutes (RIs) for the benefit of our economy and society. NRPO also works to foster public-private partnerships to ensure robotics technologies and IPs developed with public funding are relevant for industry and are commercialised into useful products, services and solutions that are adopted in Singapore and around the world.

A key role of NRPO is to bring together end-users across different industries, robotics & automation companies, and our IHLs/RIs to identify use cases and technology gaps that public-private partnerships can help to address. In so doing, we enhance Singapore’s robotics R&D capabilities and help Singapore-based robotics & automation companies to innovate and differentiate themselves in the market.

I am looking for one highly skilled and motivated individuals to work with me as full-time research professionals for a period of at least one year. The start date is subject to negotiation, but may be as early as 1 March 2024.

You will work with NUS Business School Professor Karsten Müller at the Department of Finance. For the most part, you will support Karsten’s ambitious research agenda on the link between credit markets and the real economy. This work uses macro and micro data and cutting-edge statistical methods to understand the drivers and consequences of who in the economy receives credit. Among other things, you will help to (a) construct novel data sources to measure credit market conditions, (b) analyse data to document the role of credit markets in recessions and stock market crashes, and (c) analyse the effectiveness of financial policies and credit subsidies in stimulating economic growth.

You will work with us on a variety of tasks, including data collection and analysis, statistical programming and data visualization, conducting literature reviews, summarizing research findings and policy documents, and editing research papers. Requirements

Introduction

The Singapore-ETH Centre (SEC) is home to a community of doctoral, postdoctoral and professorial researchers working in three main programmes: Future Cities Laboratory, Future Resilient Systems, and Future Health Technologies. Project background

In collaboration with the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the National University of Singapore (NUS), Duke - NUS, the National Health Group (NHG), National University Health System (NUHS), and SingHealth, SEC runs a research program on "Future Health Technologies (FHT)". In this programme, multidisciplinary teams develop a future-oriented mobile digital health concept which combines scientific and technological innovations with clinical, industry and other stakeholder needs. It tackles care for the increasing number of patients suffering from chronic diseases, particularly diabetes, obesity and stroke. Leveraging on scalable digital technologies, the team aims to transform the healthcare system towards a community-based and patient centric model along the continuum of care. The position is highly related to collaborating with entire FHT and SEC team. Collaboration and cooperation are key skills.

Job description

The scope of work shall comprise of but shall not be limited to:

Personnel Management (in collaboration with SEC's HR team and FHT management team)

• Prepare, check, coordinate and take responsibility of the hiring processes for FHT with SEC HR
• Manage personnel database and report generation
• Support FHT PIs and researchers on various administrative tasks (eg: contract extensions/changes, new hiring etc).
• Prepare and manage any kind of contracts with actual and future entities/partners.

Infrastructure Management (in collaboration with relevant FHT and SEC teams)

• Manage the infrastructure and resource requirements in the FHT work spaces
• Manage FHT software and hardware requirements with SEC IT

Other tasks

• Manage day to day operations to run the programme smoothly with FHT team
