Assistant Professor (tenure track) Positions in Ecology

The Asian School of the Environment (ASE, https://www.ntu.edu.sg/ase) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore seeks to appoint several Assistant Professors (tenure track) in tropical ecology. We broadly welcome applications across all areas of tropical ecology. We are looking for an individual with a passion for cyber security to work alongside a talented team to improve and operate a cyber security center.

The role requires a strong background and understanding of all cyber security domains. 

In this position, you will be part of the global cyber security operations team with focus on identification, analysis and response to cyber security threats and events. You will support the Head of our Cyber Security Operations Center in improving the effectiveness of the team and lead the planning, implementation, documentation as well actively coordinating and overseeing the service providers including MSSP.

Your key tasks 

• Manage and handle Cyber Security Incidents on a daily basis

• Assist correlating alerts, implementing monitoring Use Cases
• Provide implementations, recommendations for protecting and resolving threats and incidents
• Participate in the selection and evaluation of security solutions, or enhancements to existing cyber security solutions, to improve overall enterprise security

Admin support & event coordination

1. Liaising with website vendor and partners for requirements gathering for OSCAR* microsite
2. Planning OSCAR Night (signature event), working with CNP to select external event organiser and to start planning to ensure the event admin and logistics are well managed
3. Assisting with the admin and logistics for OSCAR Social networking and learning events e.g. refreshments, preparation of slides, scribe for the discussions
4. Updating database of TF partners and OSCAR grantees for internal database and preparing for microsite accounts

• Conduct administrative and operational tasks of the Training Centre
• Liaise with learners, trainers and related departments & organisations to ensure programmes run smoothly
• Manage administrative work (Attendance, preparation of course materials and course enrolment process etc)
• Coordinate and oversee training schedules to ensure adherence to SOPs
• Supports and contributes to the company's continuous improvement and training programs.

Learner’s Management

• Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to execute effective strategies for promoting training courses and maximizing enrollment rates.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with learners, to achieve high customer satisfaction
• Provide quality customer experience through understanding of their queries and needs through email, walk-in and calls
• Ensure that all customer enquiries or feedbacks are satisfactorily managed, resolved and closed within agreed timeframe
• Facilitate effective learning experiences for participants

Job Requirements

• Possess a Diploma or Degree in any discipline
• Customer-oriented with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Motivated team player with pleasant personality, positive working attitude and determination to learn, achieve and excel
• Candidates with experience in customer service or contact centre will have an added advantage
• Good analytical, planning and organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Must be prepared to work on weekends and/or public holidays, when required
