About The Role

'Accountabilities:

• Expected to develop an understanding of the management and implementation of Shell Ship Quality Assurance Standards in support of Group requirements for shipping businesses for Oil, Chemicals, LNG and LPG activities.

• The chosen candidate will work with the local MTAs and approved contractors to perform the day-to-day 3rd party terminal inspections & assessments in the region based on full Baseline Criteria and Desk Top Risk Assessments tool for rating by the Assessor team so that eligibility ratings of the terminals are maintained and follow up advice to the appropriate parties of any caution or unsuitable rating is produced in a timely manner.

• Assist MTAs in developing terminals needed by the business that may have been rated as caution or unsuitable to a standard at which they can be rated eligible.

• Review Location data & eligibility conflicts in GMAS for the region as well as provide the MTA network with upcoming inspection requirements for Shell, JV, OSP & 3rd party operated facilities through routine data extraction from GMAS “To do list” and reporting out to the MTA network for planning & scheduling inspections/risk assessments as required.

• Shell’s Partners in Safety programme; facilitating the Focus Group meetings, serving as the East focal point for the CEO conference organisation committee, and tracking of programme targets for the APME, amongst other things.

Job Requirements

• An understanding of the Maritime Assurance processes & associated tools is essential (maritime, storage) and exposure to a regulatory environment would be an advantage i.e., GMAS, OSP database etc.

• Previous seagoing experience as a Deck Officer / Engineer Officer at operational level on tankers.

As the Commercial Director, you will responsible for spearheading our sales efforts and grow early adoption of the products as we build to be the market leader in the region. Leveraging your existing connections and leads, you will actively seek out new business opportunities and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders in industries such as logistics, ports, airports, and other relevant sectors. Your expertise in solution selling and understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the supply chain management domain will be crucial in driving revenue growth and positioning Venti’s autonomous vehicle technology as the go-to solution in the market.

Role responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for potential clients in the supply chain management space, including logistics providers, ports, airports, and other relevant entities.
• Identify and proactively pursue new business opportunities, leveraging your existing network and conducting market research to expand our customer base.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers, understanding their pain points and providing tailored solutions that demonstrate the value of our autonomous vehicle technology.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, including engineering, operations, and marketing, to develop customized proposals and address customer requirements.
• Drive the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and qualifying leads to negotiating contracts and closing deals.
• Meet and exceed sales targets, regularly reporting on sales activities, pipeline, and revenue projections to the leadership team.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities to identify strategies for gaining a competitive edge.

Required experience

• Proven experience (15 years+) in a senior leadership role driving revenue growth in a hybrid/enterprise software and hardware business
• Deep understanding of sales processes, pipeline management, and closing large-scale customers partnerships with $5 million+ annual revenues
• Understanding of complex and challenging clients with the ability to engage at the C suite level and establish buy-in at all levels .
• Track record of leading the establishment and maintenance of partners and customers, and the building of revenues in new-economy technology-based products and services
• Deep high-level contacts within the logistics or an affiliated industry
• Knowledge of corporate partnership legal agreements, large negotiations, finding win-win operating structures, and working in long term partnerships with other companies
• A reputation for honest, fair and financially sophisticated relationships with partners.
