About the Centre for Research in Health Systems Performance (CRiHSP)

Optimizing the performance of health systems is essential to ensuring the wellbeing and longevity of populations worldwide. Singapore is particularly well placed to lead research in this field as its health system has been consistently ranked as one of the best in the world based in independent evaluation with the Global Burden of Disease data. The new Centre for Research in Health Systems Performance (CRiHSP) aims to advance research in this area within the National University Health System and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine of the National University of Singapore (NUS) as the leading centre for research in health systems in Asia with the core functions of research, health pòlicy intelligence, capacity building and evaluation.

About the role

Job Description & Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES

Care Corner Learning and Special Needs Support is looking to expand our focus from just educational therapy to providing wholistic support for children with learning and special needs. We are seeking a Specialist with a passion to support children with learning and special needs. This individual would ideally have experience teaching children individually or in small group sizes, open to working from different locations and keen to teach children in our own Intervention Programme.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Plan and teach English and Math to children (age 5 to 12) with learning difficulties/disabilities.
• Plan and conduct individual and group intervention programmes/activites for children with special needs.
• Assess the developmental needs of children, doing up each child's Individual Educational Programme (IEP) and Progress Report (PR) to address the needs of the children in the assigned classes.
• Engage parents in executing intervention and development strategies for the children.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood/ Pre-School Teaching/ Early Years/ Special Education, Learning DisordersManagement or any other related fields.
• Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs) will be preferred.

Job Description

The incumbent will lead the Centre for Health Intervention and Policy Evaluation Research (HIPER)'s marketing and communication activities, coordinate/support events organised by HIPER (in terms of event planning, actual day logistic matters, and post-event follow ups), and other ad-hoc administrative tasks.

Working under the direction of the Director, the primary role of the incumbent is to ensure smooth running of the Centre (Centre for Health Intervention and Policy Evaluation Research)'s events, working on marketing and communicatons related activites for HIPER and providing supporting in agreement review and other ad-hoc administrative tasks
1. Events related activities
· Coordinate and liaise with vendors for all Centre's events and related logistical/finance matters
. Coordinate and manage the set-up and production of the event on site
· Liaise with invited speakers on teaching materials, programme outline and logistical arrangements
· Manage enquires from events via email and calls
2. Communications-related activities
- Create communication materials (including but not limited to eDMs, posters and promotion video clips) for courses/modules held by HIPER
- Create quarterly and annual reports on past, ongoing, and upcoming events at HIPER
- Responsible for the management of HIPER’s website and social media platforms (Linkedin)
o Update courses/modules on Main page and Events page
o Archive past courses/modules
o Update news
o Update published journal articles by HIPER researchers on Publications page

Qualifications

- Recognised diploma or degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
- Ability to write well, and adapt the narrative and writing style for a range of audiences (e.g. academic, public). Sample work to be submitted along with application.

The Manager, Future Plans assists the Senior Manager, Future Plans to manage the contract requirements of the Correctional Health project and design and implement transformational / developmental efforts for the department and Correctional Health domain.

Corporate Roles

Assist the Senior Manager, Future Plans in the management of all contract requirements to ensure that service levels are adequately met and contractual obligations are satisfactorily discharged. In this regard, the job holder shall interface with external entities such as the Singapore Prison Service (SPS), the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the Ministry of Health (MOH), and relevant healthcare entities.

Future Plans Roles

• Assist the Senior Manager, Future Plans to design and implement systemic transformation and developments in the field of correctional health in alignment with the strategic vision of SPS, MHA and MOH for the ten-year strategic collaboration.
• Domains to be developed include: integrated end-to-end models of care, evidence-based clinical protocols, streamlined patient workflows, integration of new technology, system-level data analytics, quality assurance and improvement processes, and competency development of staff in the domain of correctional health.
• Develop and implement the communication package for new projects to all stakeholders to ensure alignment of intent across various projects.
• Continuously review, identify and recommend changes and improvements to operations processes.

Job Requirements:

a. Educational / Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree holder in any discipline.
• A Masters in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration would be an advantage.

b. Relevant Experience & Skills

• At least 8 years of relevant work experience with 2 to 4 years of managerial/supervisory experience.
• Prior experience in the healthcare, security or correctional health industry would be an advantage.
• Knowledge and skills in process improvement, improvement methodologies and tools and techniques, such as Design Thinking, Lean and Six-sigma, would be a strong advantage.
• Knowledge and experience in benchmarking and data research, statistical tools and techniques would be an added advantage.
• Good leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Good organising and coordinating skills.
