Purpose of the post

The Research Associate (RAssoc) will be working closely with the Principal Investigator and a team of researchers on bioprocessing and downstream process development. The RAssoc’s principal role will be to assist in method development and process optimization for research projects requiring bacterial and yeast fermentation as well as provide technical support and training to laboratory users.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Research Associate is expected to:

1. Design and execute fermentation experiments to optimize the production of target compounds/proteins.
2. Develop and scale-up bioprocesses for the cultivation of microbial strains (bacterial, conventional and non-conventional yeasts) from benchtop to pilot scale fermentation.
3. Conduct process optimization studies to improve fermentation performance, yield, and productivity.

ADVANCE-ID is jointly funded by the Wellcome Trust and Singapore institutions including the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. The vision of the Network is to improve public health by developing the clinical evidence base for the prevention and treatment of drug-resistant infections. Its mission is to build and sustain a strategic clinical research network focussed on most efficiently delivering locally relevant interventions for drug-resistant infections.

The Network aims to improve and strengthen clinical research capabilities in the region by acting as a platform to develop good principles and practices. It will stabilise capacity and capabilities to mitigate inefficiencies in trial start-up phase and loss of skillset following study closure, as in typical trial setup. The Network will continuously develop its capabilities, quality and efficiency by learning from and collaborating with other clinical trial networks.

In the long term, the Network aims to support broader infectious disease studies by expanding geographically beyond its original starting point in South East Asia and collaborating with other networks around the world. As Partner Learning Engagement Program Manager you will be dedicated and focused on providing top-quality support for partner learning programs and will manage various training programs and workflow to support the partners ecosystem. Develop detailed tracking of programs including scope, resourcing, task management, timelines, ROI and overall results. Experience working with multiple third-party vendors and internal business stakeholders. Work with cross-functional teams on multiple projects including in-person training, e-learning, learning paths and training campaigns. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the partner learning services operations, engagements and support globally responsible for driving training execution, planning and delivery.
• Identify and manage third party vendors, trainers, facilitators, and subject matter experts to build a learning community to drive global training and certification at scale.
• Work with cross-functional teams to design, implement and support training and certification programs to provide training at scale to Google partners and to increase learner pipeline.
• Own the certification management process and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and manage consumption aligned to training and certification metrics.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience developing and or driving training and certification programs and in learning program management.
• Experience working in Global System Integrators performing learning roles for technical audiences.
• Experience with Google Cloud learning tools and platforms including Qwiklabs, Intellum and Qualtrics.

• Experience and proven results building and running training and certification programs based on an understanding of the partner capability and capacity needs that map to Google Cloud business objectives.
