Job Duties:

- Responsible for Market research and establish strategy to develop newbuilding & conversion business opportunities worldwide and implement the same.

Projects will include the following characteristics.

- Newbuilding of LNG FSRU (Floating Storage Regasification Unit), LNG FSU (Floating Storage Unit).

- Conversion of LNG FSRU to fit the terminal requirements.

- Conversion of LNG FSRU to fuel the powerships (electric power generation ships) in emerging countries.

- Gather information of CCUS market and new technologies

- Newbuilding of LCO2 (Liquefied Carbon Dioxide) carriers for Asian regions

- Development of LCO2 carrier specification with new type of cargo tank

With above projects, candidates are expected to conduct below activities.

- Lead technical support as main PIC of customer interface for business opportunities of CCUS projects and for business execution of FSRU projects.

- Developing technical specifications.

- Technical/financial evaluation of contractors’ quotations.

- Establishing strategies & execution of ship building contract, ship conversion contract, engineering contract, procurement of equipment, project execution planning.

- Management of construction site office. Schedule, manpower distribution, technical/financial decision making.

- Control of contractors such as design company, shipyard, maker of equipment, service providers, class.

- Reporting of progress to Singapore office and head office.

Job Requirements:

- Degree of naval architecture and ocean engineering, bachelor and master course, top-tier university.

- 12 years or more experience in top-tier newbuilding shipyard, among which 8 years or more experience in dockyard office. 5 years or more experience in top-tier shipping company, in gas-ship-related department.

- Fluent or high proficiency in English.

- Experience at both newbuilding vessel (at least 30) and conversion vessel (at least 5) projects. Need to submit the list of such vessels.

- Experience as shipping company’s representative site manager at shipyard site office.

- Possess the experience of delivering vessel without delay under obstacles such as sanction, epidemic, shipyard merging.

- Full spectrum of knowledge on newbuilding specification and cost.

- Possess excellent negotiation skills and ability to influence shipyards including but not limited to logic of calculation of each cost component, vessel performance and scheme sheet.

- Hydrodynamic/hydrostatic knowledge of model test, dynamic positioning, stability, metocean analysis, relevant regulations.

- Capable of negotiating all sentences of terms and conditions in ship building contract.

ABOUT THE JOB

This is not a desk job. They are expected to conduct regular face-to-face meetings with the clients and undertake networking activities. This Talent will be responsible for generating leads, cultivating relationships with key decision-makers, and securing job orders in Functions such as engineering, IT, Supply Chain, Finance, and HR. Successful candidate is expected to be presentable, customer focused, and possess excellent communication skills in a professional manner including presentations & negotiations, meeting clients and other business requirements. Acting as a strategic business partner in planning and executing with excellence, the business development strategy will bring our organization forward.

As the ‘face’ of the company, you will take the lead role in developing new businesses with the senior management, particularly in the full suite of recruitment services in the staffing arena. You will identify market trends and industry needs and build a sales pipeline in accordance with targets set and lead in their implementation. Pursues new prospective clients, managing the entire chain from initial contact to contract signing. Driving the sales process for new client wins, current client expansions as well as ensuring successful renewals. You will be responsible for all aspects of the recruitment sales cycle but not limited to such as Project Management Services, Managed Deployment Projects, and Recruitment Process Outsourcing opportunities. Reporting to the Managing Director and will be critical in managing the overall sales and strategies of the organization.

We welcome all sales specialties, but key priorities would be for those specialized in Engineering /Supply chain. You can expect a strong infrastructure support to drive your upwards sales.

SCOPE:

Lead Generation:

Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and cold outreach. Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients and job orders.

Business Development:

Drive the sales process from prospecting to closing, meeting and exceeding revenue targets. Collaborate with internal teams to tailor recruitment solutions that meet client requirements.

Client Relationship Management:

Build and nurture relationships with C-suite executives and key stakeholders in target industries. Conduct engaging conversations with clients, showcasing a deep understanding of their recruitment needs.

Industry Knowledge:

Stay abreast of industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics. Quickly grasp the nuances of engineering, IT, Supply Chain, Finance, and HR functions to articulate recruitment solutions effectively.

Reporting and Analysis:

Provide regular reports on sales activities, achievements, and challenges. Analyse market feedback to refine and optimize business development strategies.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Engineering, IT, or any related discipline.
• Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to identify and capitalize on market trends.
• Mininum 3 years' experience in managing recruitment operations with P&L responsibilities.
• Regional exposure will be most preferred especially in North Asia and Australasia/Oceania.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Quick learner with the ability to comprehend diverse industries and functions.
• Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
