Summary of the position:

The Senior Legal Counsel will provide legal support and advice to the Roche Diagnostics’ business in the Asia Pacific region. He/she will also collaborate closely with stakeholders, including leaders, business teams, and corporate functions, on projects and initiatives. A key member of Roche’s APAC Legal Network, he/she will contribute actively to various communities of practice and working groups.

Main tasks of the position

• Support legal matters pertaining to the APAC region, including structuring, negotiating, and advising on commercial transactions, and collaborating with policy, regulatory, business, and product teams to review and shape legislation.
• Deliver subject matter expertise by advising on a wide range of legal issues, including corporate and commercial matters, corporate governance, employment law, intellectual property and technology law, digital product licence terms and conditions, data protection and privacy law, biotech law, competition law, tax law, risk and contract management, and dispute resolution.
• Product owner of the APAC Legal Leaders Forum, in terms of driving agenda creation, organisation, and planning.
• Build capabilities through legal training and awareness activities, and designing and refining governance frameworks, policies, and processes.
• Coordinate and monitor legal matters handled by outside counsels, and ensure that the legal panel is updated based on organisational needs.
• Contribute to communities of practice and working groups.
• Mentor and guide other professionals in the APAC Legal Network.

Qualifications of the position:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Law & Bar License
• Professional experience/duration: Bar Qualification
• Specialist knowledge: Previous experience working in the medical devices industry will be well regarded.
• Traveling is required due to the job nature

Your qualities
You can make your mark as an HR Program Executive if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources.
• Additional qualification in the field of Organizational Development, Psychology, or any related field would be an advantage.
• Knowledge/experience in Talent Management, Performance Management, initiating Onboarding/Offboarding program would be an additional advantage.
• Three or more years of experience in HR program management, Learning & Development or similar roles.

• Provide supervision and support for the Foster Child and Young Person

• Assess the suitability of new Foster Parents
• Provide support to the team in planning and execution of outreach events aimed at recruiting new foster parents and volunteers

• Degree or Graduate Diploma in Social Work from a recognisable university
