Summary

Guest Services Officer focuses on customer service and foster relationships with other departments to ensure that guests’ needs are met. He/She is responsive to activities that take place at the Front Office area and is a point of contact for guest upon their arrival until their departure from the hotel.

Job Responsibilities

· Be part of Front Office areas such as Front Desk, Executive Lounge and Concierge

· Assist guests with check-in and check-out, and other cashiering duties

· Register guests and assigns rooms according to their reservation confirmation

· Work towards maximising room revenue by upselling higher room categories to guests whenever possible

· Maintain the privacy of all guests by ensuring their details are kept strictly confidential

· Understand all room types and work with Housekeeping to manage room status effectively

· Adhere to proper credit matters and cash handling policies and procedures

· Understand the usage of internal communication logs to communicate effectively with other colleagues

· Assist to perform Executive Lounge and Concierge duties whenever required

· Provide warm welcome and fond farewell in accordance to hotel standards and SOPs

· Be efficient in assisting guests throughout their stay, handle guest feedback, and take ownership in providing reasonable solutions

· Be familiar with hotel products and services and recommend to guests accordingly

· Alert Security or Duty Manager of suspicious looking person(s) / articles in the lobby

· Maintain complete knowledge of all hotel products and services

· Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the Front Office areas

· Be fully familiar of the Emergency Procedures, Policies and Standard Operating Procedures as established by the Hotel

· Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management

· Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the management

· Good reading and oral proficiency in English language

· Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with at least 6 -15 years’ relevant experience in Buildings Mechanical Design and commissioning of M&E systems in modern commercial and industrial buildings. Data Centre Experience will be preferred.

The Southeast Asia Business Exchange initiative was announced by the Prime Minister of Australia Anthony Albanese at the ASEAN Indo-Pacific Forum in Jakarta on 6 September 2023 as part of Australia’s Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040. The Southeast Asia Business Exchange Team will support Australian exporters to enter, compete and grow in Southeast Asia. They will also support efforts to boost two-way trade. As part of the program, Austrade team members will:

• Develop and maintain relationships with key partners including industry bodies, business councils, and chambers.

Job Description

• Production of drawings on CAD and BIM Revit model for C&S/M&E works
• Working towards deadlines set by Project Manager or CAD/BIM Manager
• Responsible for the quality of production
• Prepare and update 3D BIM models for development of CSD/SEM models for submissions
• Supervise the production of 2D drawings from BIM models with accuracy ensuring drawings produced are according to the Office or the Client’s Drafting Standards and Procedures, and the drawing submission schedule is achieved
• Maintain proper records of all issued & received models/drawings, Clash Reports, RFIs, BIM Register in accordance with the company’s ISO Standards and Procedures and ensure all the drawings are completed on schedule or in a timely manner. Perform regular drawing backups and housekeeping work in the directory
• Lead the CSD coordination meetings with engineers and designers. Define all the CSD/SEM issues, prepare and distribute the issues accordingly. Follow up with the project team on CSD and BIM model updates
• Lead the BIM modelers assigned to the project and manage the process of exchange
• Support Project Team for Presentations with BIM-Model and related activities
• Work under the supervision of BIM Manager and perform work task assigned
• Report regularly to the Project Manager on the progress of assigned project works

Requirements:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or other relevant disciplines
• Preferably with minimum 5 years of working experience in design coordination, preferably on different scales of projects within  engineering design consulting business
• Familiar in operation and have good knowledge of softwares such as Revit, Aecosim, Microstation and AutoCAD
• Good planning skills in managing modelling and drafting works
• Possess strong initiative, and ability to work independently and within team environment when required

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Help to direct, control and co-ordinate the activities of all Chefs and kitchen attendants, engaged in preparing and cooking food, so as to ensure an efficient, profitable and smooth food service, at all times.

In charge of all respective kitchen work.

Inspect storerooms, refrigerators and freezers daily, to prevent wastage.

Assist the Sous Chef to control cost by minimizing spoilage, utilizing food surpluses and practicing portion control.

Check the quality and quantity of food received from the markets and stores.

Always look for cost saving and environmental ideas.

Assist in the operation of their outlet/dependant outlets, at an acceptable food and staff cost.

Maximize employee’s productivity, in order to minimize payroll cost.

Monitor all Kitchen operating costs and take corrective action, when necessary to reduce expenses.

Ensure that all food is prepared and served according to the standards set by the Executive Chef.

Produce and check preparation and presentation of food.

Make sure standard recipes are used, and food is presented according to pictorials.

Make sure that all machines, furniture (fridges, benches, etc.), equipment and utensils are clean and in working condition at all times. Check all assigned areas in regards to sanitation and hygiene, to prevent contamination of any kind.

Ensure the Kitchen complies with health and safety standards as to prevent accidents.

Participate in the Sous Chefs meeting when Sous Chef not on duty.

Ensure lines of communication within the outlet kitchen are effective.

Maintain interdepartmental communication to avoid frictions of any kind.

Represent the culinary team in an absolute correct manner when in the public areas.

Assist in staff training in conjunction with the Training Department and Departmental Trainers.

Maximise employee productivity and moral, and consistently maintain discipline, following hotel guidelines and local legislation.

Motivate all staff to perform their duties by demonstrating professionalism, organisational skill and team spirit.

Ensure all staff adheres to grooming and presentation standards.

Report all accidents, health and safety hazards to Executive Chef.

Follow up and keep a tidy control over function and event orders.

In charge of food requisitions, orders and inter-kitchen transfers.

Instigate maintenance requests if necessary, and check on completion.

Responsible for the Duty Roster, Staff Leave and Attendance Record.

Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines and ensure your direct reports do the same.

Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures.

Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly.

Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers.
