Daily Operations of Front-end Operations and Stations

Acts as a Visitor Experience Ambassador for SDC either as Guest Service Associate or Singapore Story Guide by delivering excellent guest experiences for our visitors and assisting visitors in whatever ways we can;

Guest Service Associate

• Performs front-end operational roles that include but not limited to ticketing/cashiering, greeters, guest services functions, service recovery etc;
• Performs retail operational roles that include but not limited to cashiering, inventory management, replenishment of stocks etc
• In this role, the Visitor Experience Ambassador projects a professional image and handles enquiries and service recovery as well as handle safety issues and emergency situations (including rendering first aid) at the frontline

Singapore Story Guide

• Share with guests the Singapore Story through guided tours at the Singapore Discovery Centre including the permanent exhibit galleries, temporary exhibitions, travelling exhibitions and thematic tours.
• Bring alive the Singapore Story through role-playing, storytelling, facilitation of games and the application of other guiding techniques during guided tours.

Requirements:

• Able to handle various scopes of work, as well as handle difficult customers.
• Enjoy interacting with people of all ages and levels.
• Customer service oriented.
• Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Able to make on the spot decision when safety is being compromised.
• Able to speak fluent English. Fluency in a second language will be advantageous.
• Possess intermediate computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Office.
• Able to handle POS system or cashier machines.
• Preferably at least GCE O Level or ITE qualifications; and/or 1 year of relevant working experience, in the hospitality or tourism industry.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure all laboratory tests are well managed and performed including testing on raw materials, intermediates and finished products.

• Manage the inventory of quality reference materials such as QC reagents and lab consumables.
• Prepare daily QC report, relevant work instructions and validation protocol or reports.

Responsibilities:

• Self-starter with a hands-on approach in his/her work that includes being a team player

• Prepares and review monthly project costing report to ensure that project expenditures are within budget and in compliance with the contractual specifications.
• Handles various project costing reporting, payment forecast, cashflow to Client and Corporate.
• Manages the billing and payment follow up process and monitors project milestone/ progress to ensure timely milestones/ progressive payments in accordance to the contract conditions.
• Manages and deliver risk management and monthly dashboard reporting.
• Finalises project final accounts with customer, settlement with subcontractors and close out.
• Works closely with contract team to have cost review with various external key subcontractors (HFG, T&I, Iv-One, SLP etc)
• Prepares and update project cost report ensuring all cost charges and movement are tracked and supported with documentation as per reporting calendar.
• Liaises with PMT for project status updates and to validate monthly forecasting.
• Prepares and update monthly cashflow for submission to Corporate
• Ensures all POs and WOs and payments flow from procurement & subcontractor team into the Project Cost Code system

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in any engineering or other disciplines
• Minimum 7 years of working experience in related field

What you will do

Carry out maintenance, service, and repair of all process equipment with maximum degree of safety and quality:

• Process rotating equipment: centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, diaphragm & metering pumps, screw pump, blower and fan, oil mist & lubricant systems, etc.
• Major machines: centrifugal & reciprocating compressors, extruder, gas turbine generator, steam turbine driver, etc.
• Hydraulic system: hydraulic pump, marine and truck loading arms, hydraulic control system
• Maintain proper records of all jobs performed in the SAP application and participate in mechanical related projects and plant modification work

About you

Skills and Qualifications

• For candidates with no working experience – Minimum NITEC in Engineering

What you will do

• Prepare equipment for maintenance and perform unit start-up, shutdown and plant turnaround activities
• Update operating procedures and prepare job pack documentation for equipment repair
  Perform troubleshooting and to resolve operational issues and provide support for technical and mechanical teams

Role Description

As a Rotating Machine Service Engineer, You will be involved in various aspects of maintenance, repair, and overhauling (MRO) of rotating machinery, with a focus on conducting MRO, vibration analysis, coordinating technical solutions, and ensuring the quality of repair work.
