The department's mission is to identify and validate novel targets across various therapeutic areas with multiple discovery biology units.

Over the past decade, mRNA therapeutics have shown promise in a broad range of therapeutic applications, including infectious diseases, genetic disorders, cancer, regenerative medicine, and vaccines. They have gained significant attention and have shown clinical success, especially with the recent development and emergency use authorization of mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccines.

A key feature of mRNA medicines is their high degree of customizability. Optimal production of therapeutic proteins from mRNA medicines requires a thorough understanding of the interplay between nucleotide sequence, nucleotide modification and RNA structure in affecting translational efficiency and mRNA stability. This project aims to establish a workflow to quantify mRNA half-lives in a high throughput manner within cells and to understand how different physiological conditions (within LNPs or ex vivo) impact mRNA half-lives. The methods established in this project could ultimately drive different mRNA therapeutic pipeline projects.

What You Will Do:

The Research Intern will work closely with an assigned scientific supervisor on a lab-based research project in biomedical research.

Mandatory track record

• 5 – 7 years’ work experience relevant to enterprise level Storage platforms in particular DELL/EMC ISILON, HPE XP7, 3PAR and Brocade Fabrics.
• Should be a subject matter expert in specific or relevant
• SAN/NAS Administration / Solutions.
• Disaster recovery operations related to SAN/NAS solutions.
• SAN/NAS performance tuning and optimisation.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting medium to large scale, multi-site, enterprise SAN/NAS technology environments.
• Experience on Storage capacity planning, performance analysis, monitoring, reporting.
• Good understanding of operational framework like ITIL/ITSM, operations process.
• Scripting skills/Automation knowledge to ease the operations.
• Very good experience in supporting and managing the replication and other copy services
• Knowledge on multiple operating systems like windows, Linux and UNIX.
• Hands on experience of working on monitoring tools / management platforms.
• Relevant certifications a must (SAN, NAS or Fabric)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and logical skills.

What you will do

Our work has been likened to “CrossFit for the mind”: a mixture of policy analysis, strategy consulting, investment banking, and non-profit capacity building to provide end-end support in launching successful projects across diverse issues.

We are looking for a dynamic Associate to join our offices in Singapore. The Associate role is typically for individuals with 1 - 4 years of relevant work experience. This role is a full-time position based in Singapore, with a target start date of May 2024.

In this recruiting cycle, relevant experience in climate finance and/or blended finance will be a bonus.

As an Associate, you will be working across multiple projects in the following ways:

1) Supporting engagements focused on tri-sector work:

• Researching gaps where innovation can be of value
• Conducting due diligence on service partners
• Conducting cost-benefit analysis and financial modelling
• Creating presentations to share analysis
• Supporting the team in negotiations with project stakeholders
• Working with evaluators to design rigorous outcomes evaluations
• Working with different key stakeholders including service partners, funders and evaluators to achieve successful outcomes during service delivery phase

2) Supporting winning new mandates:

• Analyzing unmet social or environmental needs and brainstorming new collaboration models to solve these
• Supporting the development of proposals to clients and funders to win new mandates

3) Supporting firm-building initiatives:

• Contributing to different aspects of creating a high performing startup
• Apply and continuously improve the organisation’s best practices through developing and refining of training materials, and intellectual property

Every day at Tri-Sector is different, but an example of a day could be that you may run a focus group discussion alongside our service partners, draft slides for a client presentation with government, private funders, or other parties, lead due diligence for a potential impact investor, and work with evaluators to design a randomized controlled trial.
