Role Profile

This role requires expertise in Microsoft technologies, including but not limited to Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server, SharePoint, SQL Server and Microsoft Security. The Microsoft Engineer will collaborate closely with other IT professionals to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our Microsoft infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and administer Microsoft-based systems, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server, SharePoint, SQL Server and Microsoft Security.
• Configure and manage Active Directory, including user and group management, group policies, DNS, DHCP, and domain trusts.
• Install, configure, and maintain Exchange Server, including mailbox management, email routing, and security configurations.
• Administer SharePoint environments, including site creation, customization, permissions management, and content management, and migration
• Manage SQL Server databases, including installation, configuration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and security, and migration.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to Microsoft infrastructure components.
• Implement security best practices to protect Microsoft systems from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate Microsoft solutions with existing systems and applications.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Stay up-to-date with latest Microsoft technologies, best practices, and industry trends.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Microsoft Engineer or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems.
• Expertise in Active Directory design, implementation, and management.
• Hands-on experience with Exchange Server administration and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in SharePoint configuration, customization, and administration.
• Strong understanding of SQL Server database management and maintenance.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.
• Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and services.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCSA) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with cloud-based Microsoft solutions, such as Office 365 and Azure, Microsoft 365.
2. Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration tasks.
3. Knowledge of Microsoft System Center suite for system management and monitoring.

- Always report in to main gc for any coverage happening as TL's need to plan their schedule as well.
