The Luo lab in the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at Nanyang Technological University (https://www.ntu.edu.sg/medicine) is looking for a highly motivated, goal-driven, and team- oriented postdoctoral scientist to join our collaborative team. Research in the lab is focused on understanding fundamental mechanisms of RNA virus replication and host immune response using interdisciplinary approaches ranging from biochemistry, structural biology, virology, and cell biology. About the role:

Essential Job Functions

As a technician, you will look after the maintenance and proper functioning of the exhibits in the Centre. You are required to carry out periodic maintenance, troubleshoot and resolve electromechanical and computer-related faults that might arise with exhibits, in the Science Centre and KidsStop on a rotational schedule with the rest of the Exhibit Maintenance team.

Requirements

The candidate should have good knowledge in Mechatronics/Electronics. He should be proficient in the use of simple test equipment in exhibit troubleshooting work and have at least 2 years of work experience in maintaining and servicing electronic, electro-mechanical equipment. Good knowledge of computer hardware and programming systems would be an advantage.

Rotating 5-day work shifts is a requirement, while duties on weekends and public holidays will be scheduled as and when required.

Other Skills/Abilities

The ability to handle basic equipment and tools would be useful in carrying out the duties. Having a strong interest in taking apart or fixing things is preferred. Job Description:

• Collaborate with the Director and provide assistance with all aspects of his daily work schedule.
• Coordinate with the departmental meetings and support with agendas and materials preparation and delivery.
• Respond to urgent requests and modifications.
• Assign emails and other concerns to staff members, take personal responsibility for issues.
• Engage with stakeholders through various channels, including phone and zoom, to address inquiries, provide information, and resolve issues.
• Represent company's interests and maintain a professional and positive relationships with company's stakeholders.
• Perform some office duties and general administrative support.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and interact professionally with all level of Management, staff, business partners and external parties.
• Advise Director on a high priority matter and follow up accordingly.
• Takes part in responding to the Director’s requests for review and approval.
• Carry out business travel arrangements, scheduling meetings, and speaking engagements.
• Manage claims processes for CEO, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Act as a backup for customer service calls as needed, while also taking on ad-hoc duties to support the office's day-to-day operations.
• Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Job Requirement:

• At least 2 years of experience in an executive secretary or personal assistant role
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and time-management skills
• Able to multi-task, work well in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Offices (Word, Excel)
• Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
• Professionalism in interactions with executives and stakeholders

• Source out potential partners and develop business for the Company
• Assist in all business development related activities including feasibility studies and contracts administration
• Focus on business development and pro-actively seek out new business opportunities whilst identifying opportunities for growth within existing businesses
• Arrange meetings and prepare proposals, presentation slides to potential partners and stakeholders to secure projects
• Conduct market research to assess and evaluate current market and industry trends to develop new customers and create gross profits

Requirements

• Degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience in Marine, Oil & Gas / Process / Construction
• Good interpersonal and communicate skills
