The Senior Event Executive supports the planning and delivery of themed events and daily programmes at B2B trade shows. Working alongside Sales, Marketing and Operations divisions, the Senior Event Executive will be part of a team that develops trade show programmes and help ensure all elements are aligned to create a successful Event.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pre-Event and Post-Event

• Overall project management and execution of themed activities

Responsibilities

• Be part of our energetic marketing team focusing on plans and strategies to promote academic publications to worldwide audience.
• As a product specialist, team up with authors, editors and our global sales/marketing team to implement effective marketing campaigns including direct marketing, book launches, and events.
• Be responsible for market research and watching trends to aid in product development.

Requirements

• Degree in Marketing or Science.
• Good command of English and business writing.
• Goal driven, creative, curious, and hardworking
• 1 to 2 years of experience in Publishing or Marketing preferred.
• Experience in digital marketing including social media preferred.
• Have interest in scientific developments (new discoveries / inventions, etc)

Core Responsibilities

· Work with client service teams to build client relationships, understand clients’ needs, identify opportunities and value propositions

· Establish business contacts and information gathering channels including client database for the collation and broadcast of market/client intelligence to the various client service teams

· Participate in the production of strategic communications and marketing materials

· Strategize, plan and manage all internal and external marketing and communication activities

Job Specifications

· Minimum Diploma in Mass Communications, Marketing and/or Business

· At least two (02) years of relevant working experience

· Possess sharp business acumen and good interpersonal and facilitation skills

· Possess effective organizational and follow-up skills with emphasis on attention to details

· Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels in a professional and responsive manner

· Ability to work on tight deadlines and manage projects
