Job Description

• Manages group room/F&B events enquiries and related functions, dealing from receipt

of request to contracting and payment.

Our client is a prominent and reputable player in the healthcare industry. There is now a need for the business to hire a driven individual as their Procurement Executive to support their procurement team.

The Procurement Executive will be involved in the procurement and purchasing function for all goods and services essential to our day-to-day operations to support our business units (BUs). In addition, he/she will be assigned a category to support all BUs. He/She will have to negotiate with vendors to secure best value and timely supply of goods and services in compliance to our procurement policy for all purchases.

Responsibilities:

• Execute daily purchasing and procurement activities for the business unit
• Act as a main contact and a business partner to assigned BU to support all purchases liaising with vendors and requesters on purchasing matters including sourcing and negotiation for best pricing
• Duties include sourcing, negotiating, RFQ, tender, conducting business review, contract and vendor management
• Responsible to ensure BU’s compliance with our procurement policy
• Monitor and assess vendor’s performance on timely delivery, high quality, and service standards for all goods and services
• Resolve issues pertaining to category purchases with vendors and business partners
• Conduct and attend business reviews with BU and vendors on a regular basis
• Maintain databases and keep track of all records pertaining to purchases, contracts, and tenders
• Experience in clinical and medical materials, capital equipment, and servicing and maintenance is preferred
• Support other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• Recognised Degree/ Diploma with 5 years of relevant experience in purchasing and procurement; preferably in health and community care
• Knowledge of eProcurement System
• Proficient in Google Suite applications
• Possesses strong negotiation and communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and people management skills
• Team player and willingness to learn and adapt to changes
• Self-driven, independent and problem-solver
• Experience with SAP Hana/S4 modules relating to materials and inventory management

Job Descriptions

• Prepare monthly management reports and schedules
• Handle the accounts receivables and payments timely
• Prepares quarterly GST report/submission of GST returns
• Assist in the preparation of draft audited accounts
• Assist statutory audit (internal and external) inquiries and tax agents
• Assist in the review & strengthening of internal controls and ensuring compliance with accounting requirements
• Possess knowledge of other accounting functions & provide assistance/back-up when required
• Adhoc assignments and projects when required

Academic Qualification

• Degree/Diploma in Accountancy

Experience

• At least 2 years of relevant experience post-qualification
• Possess strong initiative, resourceful, result-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to details, strong analytical skills and ability to problem solve, work well under pressure and ability to prioritize workload
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

Technical/Functional Knowledge & Skills

• Basic knowledge of Singapore FRS, and other regulatory compliance requirements of listed companies would be desirable
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
• Independent, meticulous and well organized
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
