Yayasan MENDAKI’s (YM) Perform in School Department (PSD) focuses on preparing our children to be resilient & future-ready – particularly in the Primary and Secondary School level. PSD looks into Academic Support Intervention through our MENDAKI Tuition Programmes (MTP) and Education Support & Partnership initiatives for our school goers. We will also engage parents and children in various Empowerment Programmes to enhance our knowledge and discuss current affairs pertaining to education. We hope to partner with families in supporting their children's educational journey and academic success

You will be supporting PSD in various department functions – from Event or Programme Management to Data and Finance Management & Administration, as an intern and will have opportunities to learn and work in meaningful and holistic projects for the community’s school goers and their family.

You may be expected to work between speculated times on weekdays but also be required to work on evenings and over weekends, to support PSD programmes (claimable via working hours’ time-off – subject to approval based on work exigencies).

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

1.Assist MENDAKI Tuition Programmes (MTP) District Officers (DOs) in the overall planning, administration and management, and operational deliverables of the programmes and initiatives:

•Operations Coordination – Support in ensuring smooth operations at MENDAKI Tuition Scheme (MTS) classes in various MTS centres.

•Stakeholder Management – assist in communicating with various stakeholders (e.g. government agencies, school partners, community partners, etc), managing expectations and delivering the desired outcomes.

•Student Management – assist in managing MTS students’ matter (enrolment, attendance, administration and communication, etc) Supporting students’ holistic academic development – identifying and providing various academic intervention support.

•Tutor Management – assist in managing MTS tutors’ matters (recruitment, training, attendance, etc). Supporting tutors in classroom management. Ensuring tutors comply with operational rules and policies.

•Logistics – Assist in preparing all logistical needs for MTS classes (stock-taking, packing, sorting etc)

•Honorarium Processing – assist in monthly collation of Tutors’ Honorarium process of MENDAKI Tuition Programmes (MTP), particularly for MENDAKI Tuition Scheme (MTS). Ensuring accuracy and prompt process.

•Monthly Data Collection and Reporting – assist in monthly reporting of PSD key figures for YM management. Ensures accuracy and prompt delivery of data, reports and audits.

•Programme Evaluation – Support in evaluating programmes and initiatives through feedback collection and recommend areas for improvement.

•Streamlining & improving process efficiency – Study and develop RPA bot/tool to reduce / improve repetitive tasks e.g. extracting data, forms population etc.

Secondary Roles & Responsibilities

1.Supporting PSD (Vital) Data Team in collecting, evaluating and analysing, reporting and distributing data and research for MENDAKI Tuition Programmes (MTP) and/or Education Support & Partnership initiatives:

•Monthly Data Collection and Reporting – assist in monthly reporting of PSD key figures for YM management. Ensures accuracy and prompt delivery of data, reports and audits.

•Programme Evaluation – Support in evaluating programmes and initiatives through feedback collection and recommend areas for improvement.

2.Supporting roles in various PSD’s programme and initiatives, ensuring the smooth implementation of every programme (e.g. workshops or events).

The intern of 6 months is largely expected to work in an office environment from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm on weekdays and may also be required to travel out of the office for meetings. On occasions, the jobholder may need to work outside official hours on weekends to support the running of events.

• To curate content for M3 WhatsApp updates, BICARA, twice a week, as well as to create awareness of the events and happenings in the community.

Our Company – Digital Information Technology (DIT) department is seeking an intern who are enthusiastic and eager to learn about our company by helping different teams within the DIT department.

We are looking for a motivated and talented, self-driven information technology individual to join our team. The goal of this program is to help further develop your skills in a professional work environment, giving you sufficient exposure in a working project.

1.The IT intern will support our in-house IT department in providing technical assistance, maintaining computer systems and configurating hardware and software. This includes front facing applications and resolving internet and network access issues, providing network printer support, network troubleshooting.

2.Involve in a CRM project implementation. From the start of the system life cycle which includes requirements study, design and build, testing and documentation. This involves a deployment of 200 staff’s strength including a MENDAKI’s portal for our public users.

3.The IT intern will equip with the hands-on experiences with the skillsets and exposure to a full CDLC cycle of project implementation.

4.Attending meetings where necessary and IT interns will learn to take minutes and requirements.

•Finance Administration – assist in ensuring accuracy and prompt processing of PSD’s financial activities which includes, but not limited to, procurement and budgeting.

•Honorarium Processing – assist in monthly collation of Tutors’ Honorarium process of MENDAKI Tuition Programmes (MTP) and/or Education Support & Partnership initiatives.

•Education Assistance Processing – assist in the administrative process of monthly disbursements for Student Assistance Scheme (SAS).

2.Supporting roles in various PSD’s programme and initiatives, ensuring the smooth implementation of every programme (e.g. workshops or events).
