We are recruiting for a Portfolio Manager role for a new launch next year. The new fund invests in private equity companies primarily in South East Asia, mainly focus in pharmaceutical industry.

The Portfolio Manager will take the leading role in conducting strategy and market research, developing investment recommendations, negotiating terms and executing fund investments. Also, this role will be responsible for periodic communication with external investors and marketing/fundraising activities.

Given the nature of the strategies covered, the role requires a strong analytical background. A familiarity with investment structuring and derivative instruments is a plus. It is essential that candidates possess the ability to develop and test investment opportunities, as well as engage constructively with our external partners and internal stakeholders. Considering it is a senior position, the candidate must possess a sense of ownership, with well-rounded skills from fund investment, operation, investor relation etc.

Role-Specific Accountabilities

• Portfolio management skill is a must
• Conduct the day-to-day monitoring and analysis of existing external managers (including building robust and flexible tools to support the process)
• Evaluate key exposures and risk factors of investments
• Research and formulate views on hedge fund strategies and their performance during various macroeconomic regimes

Qualifications

• Preference for candidates with investment experience particularly in the pharmaceutical industry and degrees in Economics, Business or Commerce, and Finance. A Master’s degree would be advantageous.

Purpose:

Job Description

• Act as a Finance Business Partner to the designated Research Centre/ Institutes within the cluster and provide strategic support to its management and budget holders by proactively monitoring financial activities and financial reporting specific to the Institutes, and clearly communicating results of the analyses.
• As a team leader supporting Cluster lead in leading and managing the research finance cluster.
• Provide financial and business advisories to the Institutes that are critical to the decision-making purposes and ensure compliance with University’s financial policies and procedures, and funding agencies’ terms & conditions / guidelines.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Financial Management and Oversight

• Lead a team of 3-4 staff (direct and indirect), where applicable
• Ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations of the Research Centre (RCE) / Institutes (RICs) within the cluster, including exercising financial control over budget expenditure, revenue collection and financial reporting.
• Drive the annual budget and forecast exercises by coordinating all movements of budget, ensuring timely submission of budgets to central teams.
• Participate in strategic meetings and budget planning sessions with the Institutes’ management, providing valuable financial insights to aid decision-making.

• Oversee grant claim statements preparation and timely submission to funding agencies, including liaison with auditors and fulfilment of audit requirements, and prompt response to queries for a smooth and timely audit fieldwork.
• Work collaboratively with the Institutes’ stakeholders and central shared services teams during financial year-end closing and grants’ closing activities to ensure all legitimate transactions are properly recorded and all financial reports are accurately prepared.

• Ensure compliance with related tax filing matters including GST, withholding tax and taxable benefits for personal claims.
• Timely perform Risk Control Matrix (RCM) testing and address anomalies to mitigate financial risks, and ensure certification sign-off by Institute’s HOA before the financial year’s closing deadline.
• Liaise with internal auditors on all internal audit matters, where required.
• Coordinate and oversee the annual fixed assets verification exercise of the designated Institutes. Work collaboratively with Institutes’ stakeholders to ensure compliance with the verification procedures and maintain accurate records of fixed assets.

Leadership

• Drive strategic planning efforts, outlining objectives, strategies and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the team’s success.
• Make critical decisions and provide guidance to the team in complex situations, considering broader implications.
• Identify talent gaps. Mentor and coach team members on leadership, problem-solving and strategic thinking.

· Lead the EHS department and develop, implement, and maintain the EHS Management System

· Ensure legal compliance, conduct inspections and audits, and manage contractors from an EHS perspective

· Investigate incidents, review risk assessments, and drive EHS culture

· Conduct safety checks, ensure fire protection and emergency response readiness, and promote safe working conditions

· Liaise with statutory bodies, conduct training, and update management on EHSS performance

Requirements:

· Relevant qualification in Workplace, Safety, and Health

· 8 years of experience in the Construction Engineering Industry

· Strong technical competency, interpersonal, and communication skills

· Ability to interact effectively with colleagues in other business units

The Government Digital Products team is spearheading the digital transformation of the Singapore government. We design and develop software applications that enable government agencies to better serve the people of Singapore. We're looking for a highly motivated and outgoing individual to join our team as a Client Engagement Manager.

About the Role

As a Customer Success Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the adoption of our digital products among government agencies. Your primary objective will be to cultivate relationships with stakeholders, build a community, and promote the successful use of our products.

Responsibilities

• Engage agencies independently to drive adoption and successful use of our products
• Develop and execute marketing and outreach campaigns to build awareness
• Organize workshops, events, and webinars to deepen understanding and identify potential leads
• Act on leads to understand customer needs and advise on product solutions
• Develop and maintain resources for agencies to learn about our software
• Drive customer success by providing advice on product usage
• Collate user feedback and work with the product team to shape the product roadmap

Requirements for Success

• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, account management, or client engagement
• Excellent public speaking and workshop facilitation skills
• Confident in engaging and cultivating relationships with clients
• Proficient in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and agile environment
• Experience in engagement management for public service products is a plus
• Experience in CRM, CMS, digital marketing, events planning, copywriting, and graphics design is also a plus
