Roles and Responsibilities
• Owns the Configuration and Design Change Management of the Project
• Manages the technical performances of the systems and provides Rex to relevant Services Platform.
• Optimizes the scope and related tasks of the Maintenance plan.
• Supports cost reduction actions, with sourcing and industrial.
• Detects, defines and implements the modifications of the maintained products to improve the reliability and serviceability, in order to reduce project costs and improve the performances of the systems.
• Assures the update of the technical documentation of the projects.
• Supports the Product Safety management system ensuring safety risks are mitigated in a timely manner.
• Manages Obsolescence Plan.
• Captures and ensures ownership of regulations and standards to be applied.
• Interfaces with the stakeholders in the Certification processes.
• Develops the work instructions and processes from the maintenance plan and maintenance manuals.
• Analyses the technical performance of the systems and the efficiency of the maintenance plan and processes, promoting action plans to improve them.
• Manages the technical documentation within the system and any required interface with the MMIS.
• Develops standardized tools/processes improving efficiency in maintenance activities.
• Assures efficient parts codification in line with Platform rules: materials identification, codification process, interfaces with Alstom systems, quality and normative requirements.
• Elaborate project monthly maintenance report (contractual reliability and availability targets)
• Set-up and follows standardized and continuous fleet reliability improvement plans, proactively surveying fleet KPI and promoting improving actions.
• Development of LCC model by sub-system and reporting
• Develop and maintain visual management of LCC.
• Preparation of the LCC models for SPR submissions
• Management of risks and savings related to the LCC.
• Proposes actions to optimize Maintenance plans and LCC.
• Searches for improvement actions in maintenance operations, performing engineering interface activities with Operations Engineers (depot support).
• Promotes the use of the latest maintenance techniques and R&D developments (CBM, RCM, Lean).
• Analyses failure criticality studies and uses RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) and other available methodologies to define and optimize the maintenance requirements, tasks, and intervals.
• Calculates material, parts and time consumption.
Performance measurements:
OTD, QCD, PMC, Project reliability / availability / cost targets

Educational Requirements:
University degree in Railway Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Automation Engineering or Electrical and Mechanical Engineering

Experience
Mandatory:
• 5-8 years of experience in Railways system/Application engineering, Knowledge of rolling stock equipment

Desirable:
• Knowledge of rolling stock maintenance
• Working knowledge of safety management systems and safety risk assessment

Technical skills:
Proficient in the use of MS Office, SAP, BI/BO

• Provide direct reports to the technical manager on the progress of scheduled vessel machinery or equipment shutdowns for maintenance, repair, and servicing of marine machinery & subsystems conducted by subordinates.
• Oversee a team of mechanics to ensure the safe shutdown, isolation, overhaul, calibration, commissioning, and testing of marine main propulsion 4-stroke diesel engines, auxiliary machinery, cargo pumps, and deck machinery, while also monitoring daily work activities and progress.
• Perform tasks and activities, including standard maintenance and repair work such as preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring they are executed safely and effectively in workshops or onboard vessels, such as engine rooms, pump rooms, or decks.

Requirements:

• Nitec in Marine/Marine technology/Mechanical/Aero Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of Seagoing or offshore experience as a Marine Engineer Officer (MEO), handling at least 3000 KW, meeting STCW Standard A-III/3.
• Prior experience as a service engineer working with marine diesel engines, turbochargers, or marine equipment is an added advantage.

Lead, direct and manage the Building Maintenance Division of the Office of Development & Facilities Management (ODFM) in its responsibilities for the maintenance, upkeep and cleaning of structures, ensuring technical and contractual compliance. This includes overseeing the condition and functionality of all buildings, infrastructure, roads, drainage systems and landscaping to ensure they are in proper order, safe, environmentally sustainable and efficient in operation to meet the University’s objectives, adhering to budget constraints and established standards, while working in close collaborations with other key divisions.

Responsibilities

Building Management

• Leads a team of technical professionals to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all buildings and infrastructure across the NTU Campus and other locations in Singapore. This includes the planning for upgrades and improvement works to ensure all facilities remain in excellent condition, fostering an environment conducive and safe to teaching and research activities.

Operational Management

Direct the daily operations of the Division on:  

• Preventive and cyclical maintenance alongside cleaning services for buildings and infrastructure

• Strategic planning for upgrade and enhancement of existing facilities, incorporating both short-term and long-term timelines, improving coordination of these efforts with other divisions within ODFM and other departments

• Assessment and approval of work requests to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures
