This role will support Cut Edge & Fit in ensuring our production schedules are fulfilled on a day-to-day basis, to ensure smooth operations. He/she must have a strong interest in Lens edging process; to ensure daily output meets quality, productivity, yield and delivery targets and he/she should be able to detect machine problems and inefficiencies; debugs and provides potential solutions and attempts to troubleshoot, using technical knowledge.
Ensures all Cut Edge & Fit machines/equipments are working exactly as intended and the finished products meets/exceeds customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Support CEF team in performing work efficiently to meet production schedules
• Edger duties (Incoming/Final Quality check, Dotting of FSV lenses/Tracing/Blocking/Edging/Fitting)
• Operate machines and equipment supporting CEF production
• Production scheduling, prior to peak volume periods and periodically afterwards
• Inspection of machines, calibrations, adjustments, maintains production machines and equipment, ensures equipment and work floor are clean, safe, and well maintained
• Update process data into system for process monitoring
• Data updates on machine routine maintenance record, daily output log
• Predictive and Preventive Maintenance of MEI Machines
• Implement and execute the TPM (Total Productive Management) and PCP (Process Control Plan) processes to align with Global CEF Standards

Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Manufacturing) and/or Diploma in Optometry, Opticianry Certificate
• 3 years relevant work experience or edging experience
• Familiar with Production Scheduling and predictive/preventive maintenance
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under time pressure
• Proactive mindset with the ability to tactfully handle stressful and difficult situations
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Strong technical knowledge and passion for Edging
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is a must

Job Responsibilities:

1. Assist Director in control production activities, material flow and inventory to achieve cost, quality and delivery targets.

2. Monitor and ensure timely delivery of project within scheduled time frame.

3. Resolve and keep track of project time schedule and process issues with relevant department.

4. Ensure manufacturing operation is running according to safety and quality system.

5. Manage use of equipment and maintenance of plant and machineries to ensure smooth operation and always keep track of quality issues to achieve zero defect.

6. Prompt reporting to management on production activities, periodical performance review on production output, quality and productivity.

7. Develop processes to measure and further workshop productivity (equipment performance, team efficiency etc.)

Job Requirements:

1. Minimum Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Civil/ Production/ Mechanical).

2. Minimum Experience: 5 - 6 years’ experience in heavy engineering related to Steel industry.

3. Able to work independently

4. Good Knowledge of construction standard operating procedure

5. Knowledge in Civil & Structural design and analysis

General Job Description:

1) Attend all job descriptions requirements for the position of Cargo Technician;

2) Minimum 10 years experience operating with Oil and Gas industry;

3) Minimum 6 years experience working offshore as 2nd Officer;

4) Advise and participate in the execution of in all marine related activities, including but not limited to offloading, supply boat operations, cargo handling, cargo and ballast equipment, in order to ensure their safety and compliance with internal and external procedures and regulations.

5) Guarantee the proper use of Technical Support departments, by ensuring that technical queries are properly identified, recorded in the sytem and always directed to Onshore departments for review/study, promoting a culture adherent to the company's systems.

6) Manage stocks of spare parts, consumables, tools, Marine Gas Oil (MGO Bunker according to the agreement with Client), lubricating oils and chemicals related to Marine Department by requesting the necessary materials for the department's activities in a timely and optimized way.

7) Contribute so that the vessel always holds valid Flag, Class and Port State certification by participating audits and inspections, supporting the Marine Superintendent and Cargo Supervisor in preparing the marine department and assisting to close out all non-conformities and observations.

8) Must have availability to go to Singapore to visit the shipyard;

9) Experience with Offshore is preferred;

10) Experience with FPSO is preferred;

11) Required availability to move to Brazil and work offshore for the FPSO operation;

12) Fluent English and Brazilian Portuguese speakers are mandatory.

13) Immediate availability preferred;

14) Knowledge on Brazilian legislation applicable to FPSO operation is required, including NR-10;

15) Availability to move to Brazil.
