Responsibilities / Requirements include:

• Handle day-to-day financial transactions, such as invoices, receipts, and payments and record transactions in the accounting system.
• Organize and maintain financial documents, including invoices, receipts, and bank statements so that management is able to retrieve documents for audits or reference.
• Manage and maintain complete and accurate financial records for an organization.
• Record and classify financial transactions, including revenue, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable.
• Prepare financial reports, perform research and analysis, maintain the general ledger, perform account reconciliations, assist with audit preparations, and carry out other accounting duties as may be required.
• Prepare accounting reports and their results.
• Analyze the financial statements for any discrepancies and issues.
• Manager bookkeepers and other accountants.
• Provide support in the month-end and year-end closing process.
• Provide support in tax return and tax audit.
• Develop financial procedures to improve efficiency.
• Present financial reports to higher management and accountants.

Job Requirements:

• At least 2-3 years working experience in an accounting firm;
• Candidates with experience working in the finance departments of small enterprises are preferred;
• Candidates with Million accounting system would be an advantage;

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage Presidents calendar for all meetings, internal and external.
• Coordinate drivers daily schedule to support President.
• Arrange Presidents travel needs:
  • Pre-trip requests
  • Ticketing
  • Programme
  • Post-trip claims
• Perform E-approvals on behalf of President for Leave requests, travel requests and staff reimbursement claims from Presidents direct reports.
• Assist the President in reviewing POs and bank transfers as requested by Office of Finance.
• Assist with all correspondences and messages to the SMU internal community originating from Presidents Office.
• Process Presidents expenses, medical and FlexBen claims and leave application.
• Serve as point of contact for external meetings.

• A university degree or equivalent but in the absence of a degree, a diploma and/or a professional executive secretary qualification, coupled with at least 15 years of relevant work experience in a similar capacity, would be required.
• Candidates with experience in working with C-level executives would have an advantage.
