Primary Objective:

• To assist Unit Head Treasury Processing Centre to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the processing of all treasury products for bank and non-bank counter-parties with the objective of avoiding operational risks and losses.
• Maintain high quality customer service standards by actively promoting them within the team
• Comply with bank's policy and guidelines in cash handling practices

Key Responsibilities:

Stakeholders Service

• Create a good rapport with stakeholders by providing a positive stakeholders experience at all times

Compliance

• Review existing process and adhere to Bank / Department policy and guidelines

Operations

• Trade validation to ensure booked deals are accurately captured in trade system (e.g. Murex)
• Manage trade confirmation as part of process control
• Minimize settlement risks by ensuring all deal confirmations are sent out timely and with accuracy
• Monitor trade settlement and construct payment advices
• Ensure all deals are settled timely and efficiently to avoid overdraft costs and other compensations
• Follow up with counterparty immediately to facilitate and drive any break resolution
• Static data and SSI creation/ maintenance support
• Rate fixing and prices upload into trade system
• Reconciliation and Nostro outage investigations
• Posting of accounting entries
• Involve in providing user requirement and user acceptance testing (UAT) for New Product and/or Change Request (CR)
• Provide support to the business units for business development and customer service
• Other administrative tasks relating to supporting business
• Provide custodian and nominees support to other business units where required
• Ensure securities holdings and cash position are reconciled
• Ensure securities processes (i.e. trade settlements, share transfers and corporate actions) are executed in a timely manner
• Manage custody billing
• Ensure timely submission of statutory returns and certification to the relevant bodies 

Process Improvement

• Constant review and feedback of existing processes and workflows to improve productivity and to mitigate risks.
• Implement the operations of new treasury products and inter-bank funds transfer services, develop and recommend processing and control procedures.
• Institute internal control measures and implement enhancement changes in treasury operational procedures, practices and computer systems to improve process efficiency and productivity.
• Provide support to projects and initiatives which increase automation

• Process machine and parts orders from our customers.
• Handle logistics for both SMT and FA products.

• Export control of machines and parts
• Support financial information from A1 stream as required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum in A-Level or Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 - 4 years of relevant working experience.

The Asia Business Unit (ABU) consists of 12 markets (11 countries) across Asia – Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Brunei and Vietnam.

This position provides strategic leadership & oversight of the marketing & menu function, and is responsible for Marketing’s measurable contribution to the ABU’s business & financial goals by:

• Providing overall Business & Marketing strategy counsel
• Supporting the development and execution of market’s Business & Marketing plans
• Facilitating cross-market communication and best practice sharing
• Facilitating the growth of Brand Strength & Creative Effectiveness

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

The ABU CMO is specifically accountable for the following:

Strategic Alignment to deliver Business & Brand Performance

• Work closely with market MDs & CMOs to deliver the BU’s annual sales & guest count plan
• Partner with market CMOs to build long term brand affinity, brand trust, and other brand drivers
• Ensure that markets’ Marketing & Menu Plans are aligned with McDonald’s strategic framework
• Identify and encourage synergies across market’s Business and Marketing strategies
• Identify and build long-term Menu Platforms for growth

Communication & Consulting

• Organize and coordinate Marketing meetings & conferences (both virtual & live) that stimulate the sharing of ideas, learning, tools and resources
• Collaborate with market CMOs to review and add value to local Marketing plans
• Provide (find & develop) necessary tools & resources to assist market CMOs in all aspects of their job
• Provides actionable input to local Marketing plans – Help identify problems & opportunities, evaluate them and provide recommendations
• Represent the BU’s interest globally, collaborating with Global Teams to develop and share global strategies, providing an Asian lens to ensure relevance for the ABU
• Collaborate with other BU CMOs to identify benchmarks, synergies and best practices

Talent Development & Pipeline

Partnership & Relationship Management

• Build relationships with associated agencies (e.g. Creative or Media agencies) and suppliers (e.g. Coca-Cola, Nestle) to facilitate local and/or regional Marketing synergies
• Ensure compliance with fundamental agreements in alliance contracts within the zone (e.g. Creative Approvals, Royalties, 3rd party pass-thru, Ambush, Promotion dates)
• Resolve Market-level alliance issues

Creative & Media Effectiveness

• Provide training, inspiration & tools
• Facilitate best practice sharing and encourage markets to steal shamelessly
• Exercise Brand Stewardship responsibility to ensure all creative, both commercials and print materials, represent McDonald’s in the best manner

We are seeking an experienced marketing and communications professional who is motivated, organised and has previous knowledge in delivering marketing and communications initiatives at a regional level. This role has scope to grow and will have an emphasis on raising internal understanding of best practice, developing marketing plans and campaigns, and being responsible for the marketing of key sectors and regions. 

This is both a strategic and hands-on role – you will need to understand and articulate propositions before developing and executing a pipeline of marketing and communications activities to raise brand and profile, whilst achieving ROI. This role requires an ability to see the bigger picture along with a commitment to high quality, consistent delivery and a determination to always deliver to deadlines. 

The role will be based in Singapore, and report to the Head of Business Generation Asia, as well as working as part of the broader Asia Pacific Marketing and Communications function.  

Responsibilities will include: 

• Developing the Asia Marketing and Communications plan and budget, in line with strategic business plan priorities.  

• Support the identification of key market trends, and support the translation of these into market reports, campaigns and initiatives that enable us to engage the market  

• Develop strategic marketing campaign plans and execute multiple activities over an extended period to drive growth, market presence and profile. Activities may include internal and external communications, events, webinars, thought leadership, digital media, public relations and reports. Measure and report on ROI. 

• Stakeholder engagement with senior internal and external stakeholders locally, regionally and globally to shape and execute marketing activities in line with business priorities. 

• Develop and own the Asia marketing communications calendar, providing the business with visibility of upcoming initiatives 

• Own the planning, coordination and execution of Turner & Townsend publications in Asia, (including but not limited to; design, content, copywriting, imagery, quotations, proof reading and approvals, printing and distribution). 

• Support publication content generation and production processes including the liaison with Senior Management, to formulate case studies and success stories. 

• Monitor market conferences, sponsorships and events with support, identifying strategically important partnerships or opportunities to raise profile.  

• Raise market profile via regional media by maintaining excellent relationships with local, regional, and international journalists, responding to media enquiries appropriately and increasing external coverage in target publications 

• Drive social and digital media engagement through training and developing topical content. Regularly report on engagement and impact 

• Provide input and local specific content to Regional and Global Business Generations publications, as required. 

• Be the custodian of brand guidelines and tools in Asia.
