Overall Role Purpose:

About the Role

Temporary Data Entry Assistants

ZBSchools is looking for 2 data entry assistants to input exercise and mock exam questions into the new Chinese Content Management System.

• Duration: 2 months (25 November 2024 to 24 January 2025)
• Location: onsite at SPH Media Office, 1000 Toa Payoh North
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6pm
• Rate of pay: $10 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Accurately input and update data in Chinese in the content management system
• Verify data for accuracy and completeness
• Must provide timely update on work progress and respond quickly to changes
• Training will be provided

Who we are looking for

• At least GCE O level
• Chinese language proficiency is compulsory
• Proven experience in data entry or a related field.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The role involves conducting thorough research to support the production of high-quality video content, from documentaries and series to news package. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities:

1. **Research & Content Development**:
- Conduct in-depth research on various topics, including historical events, industry trends, and target audience preferences.
- Gather information from credible sources (articles, books, archives, interviews, etc.) to support video concepts and scripts.
- Compile background materials, facts, and data to enhance the accuracy and relevance of video projects.
- Collaborate with writers, producers, and directors to ensure that research aligns with creative and production goals.

2. **Script Support**:
- Assist in the story development by providing accurate and engaging research material.
- Fact-check scripts to ensure historical and factual accuracy, making necessary corrections as needed.
- Identify potential experts, interviewees, or locations relevant to the project.

3. **Content Sourcing**:
- Identify and source appropriate stock footage, images, music, and other visual/audio elements for production.
- Work with external libraries, archives, and rights holders to secure permissions for third-party content.

4. **Pre-Production Assistance**:
- Research and recommend filming locations, including coordinating logistics such as permits and local resources.
- Prepare briefing documents and reports to support the production team during pre-production planning.
- Help identify potential interview subjects or contributors relevant to the content.

Skills Required:

- Strong research skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information into concise, usable formats.

- Excellent communication and writing skills, preferably in both English and Chinese.

- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and consistency.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

- Familiarity with video production processes, including pre-production, production, and post-production.

- Proficient in using research tools, databases, and software (e.g., online archives, video databases, etc.)

1. Primary Responsibilities

• Project Maintenance Management: Oversee maintenance teams’ tasks across multiple project sites, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality service.
• Scheduling & Planning: Develop, schedule, and rectification procedure and ensure timely repairs.
• Budgeting & Cost Control: Manage maintenance team expenditures and track expenses, and identify cost-saving measures.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure maintenance team meets industry standards, client requirements, and conmpany’s quality guidelines.
• Risk & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols, compliance with regulatory and company standards, and mitigate risk on project sites.
• Client Liaison: Act as the primary contact for clients and consultants concerning maintenance and defect rectification.
• Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate service contracts, and ensure materials meet project specifications.

2. Leadership and Team Management

• Team Supervision: Lead and manage maintenance staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Training & Development: Ensure that maintenance personnel are trained in safety procedures, equipment handling, and troubleshooting.
• Performance Monitoring: Regularly assess team performance, address any gaps, and promote staff development and skill enhancement.

3. Technical Skills and Knowledge

• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction technology and method used in the industry and expertise in their maintenance and preventive requirements.
• Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently to minimize inconvenience to client.
• Safety Standards: Strong knowledge of workplace safety and health regulations, particularly in construction site.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with relevant software for planning and record-keeping.

4. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and incident logs.
• Provide regular updates and detailed reports to management and clients on equipment performance, maintenance costs, and any challenges.

5. Qualifications

• Education: Degree in engineering, facilities management, or related field.
• Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience in a maintenance role, with prior leadership experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and project management skills.

6. Key Competencies

• Attention to Detail: Precision in inspection, rectification procedures, and adherence to protocols.

Project Manager

Must have experience:

• Experience in the marine industry
• Past relevant experience as Project Manager of SAP Project
• Past relevant experience as Project Manager of Workday Project
• Past experience with a range of vendors and systems integrators

Essential - must have -Skills

• Fluent in mandarin
• Portuguese (nice to have)

Travel out of Singapore will be essential for this role.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Prepares, develops, finalises, effects, modifies and monitors the long term, short term, annual and periodic budgets and plans for the organisation. Update Owners about their progress and provides logical and rational explanation for variations in their achievement.
• Controls the operations of the organisation including financial, engineering, procurement and administration by providing management support and direction to departmental heads and their respective teams. =
• Responsible to ensure the development, enforcement, maintenance and updating of suitable systems, policies and procedures within the organisation, in order for the company to carry on its activities smoothly. Coordinates, reviews and approves the preparation of policy manuals, safety standards and quality guidelines and ensures the adherence of company employees to these documents.
• Responsible to ensure the profitability of the company and return on investment for the owner/partner. Approves the pricing for tenders/projects, ensures that project expenses are well within the contract price and monitors the income and expenditure of the company for budget compliance and cost control. Performs regular analysis on the fiscal health of the organisation, takes suitable remedial measures if required, and re-orients the organisation towards financial sustenance.
• Maintains relationship with old and existing clients/consultants/contractors/sub-contractors with regular follow up meetings and sources new clients by applying a focussed marketing approach. Presents the company and its activities to clients, pre-qualifies, tenders, negotiates and finalises new projects for the company to execute.
• Responsible for the recruitment of qualified, skilled and experienced personnel and their termination. Monitors employee productivity and performance in a periodical manner and ensures the provision of professional and personal growth opportunities. Provides motivation, leadership initiative, guidance to the employees and ensures the maintenance of high morale within the company. Ensures the application of fair, ethical and nondiscriminatory employment practices and provides an equal employment opportunity environment within the organisation.
• Assesses and evaluates market conditions, trends, associated risks and sets out suitable solutions to overcome downturns, crises and abnormalities. Continuously identifies and develops opportunities for the company to expand its products, services, functions and area of operation

Requirements:

• Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in civil engineering, or closely related field
• A minimum of eight years specific experience including multiple projects management in engineering, construction management or in a closely related field of building structures.
• At least two years responsibility in an operational role covering responsibilities of estimation, planning, purchase, project management, accounting departments/individuals. Previous experience or close association in a role with full operational responsibility in a construction environment.
