Grow Asia is seeking an experienced leader and strategist to help us deliver impact at scale by strengthening operational excellence and coordinating the strategic mobilization of financial and human resources.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Operations will be responsible for strategic and financial planning, grant management, and financial compliance at a regional and country level to ensure effective coordination of grants and blended resources across Grow Asia’s four Public-Private Programs – GrowVentures, GrowHer, GrowRight, and Growbeyond.

Position: Operations Executive (Shipping/Documentation)

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of shipping operations and import/export documentation within the palm oil industry.
• Coordinate shipments with suppliers, buyers, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery.
• Expertly handle full sets of shipping documents, including negotiations with banks on letters of credit and DP terms, with a deep understanding of PORAM standards.
• Serve as the main point of contact for our organization, fostering strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Conduct credit risk analysis for customers and identify areas for operational improvement.
• Ensure comprehensive marine cargo insurance coverage and manage shipping claims and demurrage.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in bulk, breakbulk, and containerized shipments, preferably within the palm oil industry.
• Proficiency in UCP (Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Strong planning skills and a collaborative team player.
