ABOUT THE ROLE

As our Sustainability Consultant, you will be responsible primarily for customer delivery; calculating the carbon footprints of our customers, developing their emission reduction recommendation plans and determining their optimised decarbonisation pathways. You will be instrumental for customer success by accurately and efficiently providing our customers with evidence that they can act on - using the Unravel Carbon software as the key source of information. You will also provide input to the development of the Unravel carbon footprinting software, carbon removal project verification and portfolio development, and general climate policy and approach.

As one of the early hires, you will be in a great position to learn about the inner workings of Unravel and gain operational exposure. You will be dealing directly with customers from the start, learn quickly, and make a real difference in our climate emergency fight.

• Calculate carbon footprints / accounts of companies
• Develop net-zero roadmaps and emission reduction plans
• Input into ongoing development of footprinting tools and processes
• Support our customers on the topics of net-zero, ESG and TCFD
• Work with Chief Sustainability Officer on carbon removal projects vetting and climate policy positioning
• Take responsibility to independently serve our customers and support future climate associates
• General research support

ABOUT YOU

• You have working knowledge of the GHG Protocol plus at least one of the following topics (1) Corporate climate disclosure and reporting (ESG, TCFD, CDP etc.), (2) Negative emission / carbon removal technologies and (3) Carbon offsetting markets
• You have excellent numerical skills and strong proficiency with Excel/spreadsheets, a methodical approach and can work independently
• You care about data integrity and quality
• You have a lot of curiosity, common sense and a broad understanding of carbon, climate and sustainability issues
• You're excited by the opportunity of an early-stage startup and faster development than a typical sustainability consultancy would provide

• Experience with climate risk analysis and transition risks will be very highly regarded
