• Implement safety policies and practices onboard vessels according to the QHSSE policies as defined;
• Perform the role of the Training Officer for any Engineer Cadets/Ratings;
• Deputise for the Chief Engineer when necessary; and
• Appraise the performance of immediate subordinates and Cadets and report to Chief Engineer.

The ideal candidate must:-

• Possess a Certificate of Competency (Marine Engineer Officer Class II); and
• Possess at least 3 years of experience as a Second Engineer Officer onboard a container vessel.

Currently, we are looking for DevOps Engineer which would be based in Singapore

Responsibilities and requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related fields with 2-5 years experirnce as a DevOps
• Strong knowledge and experience in DevOps automation, containerization and orchestration using tools such as Kubernetes, Ansible, Docker and Podman
• Experience in deploying high performance applications
• Strong knowledge in Linux subsystem - RedHat Linux is preferred
• Strong scripting skill: Bash and Python scripts
• Familiarity with Cloud computing deployment within AWS Cloud

Mandatory Skills

Duties and Responsibilities

• To provide timely and effective response and technical support to assigned projects;
• To assist with onsite troubleshooting, maintenance & repair work, as well as installation and commissioning of machines and equipment;
• Attend inspection works and make adequate explanation to customers for the technical issues
• To support the Supervisor and/or Project Leader at all aspects of the project;
• To provide 24x7 standby technical support for after office customer requirements;

Requirements:

• Diploma /Degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent;
• Min 2 years marine experience preferred
• Able to work comfortably with Microsoft office packages, i.e. Excel, Word;
• Good knowledge in marine diesel engine
• Be assertive, independent and proactive
• Able to multi-task;
• Able to travel overseas within short notice
• Possess good interpersonal skills and excellent team spirit
• Possess class 3 driving license

Job Description

• Manage a team of technical supervisors on site to ensure that all site activities comply with the regulations and client's requirements.
• To report to C&S QP, works closely with the regulatory authorities and contractors to provide supervision on site, resolve all site issues and ensure timelycompletion of the projects.
• To be competent in carrying out supervision of structural works by identifying any non-conformity of contractor's works on site. The appointed person must havethe strong ability to interpret the drawings and contract documents on works to be carried.
• Appointed person possesses a complete understanding of local requirements, especially to comply with BCA's criteria for build-ability and safety assurancesystem.
• To carry out regular site checks on Builder and ensure compliance on health and work safety in accordance with MOM.
• To manage the site supervisors with respect to C&S engineering works, architectural and MandE engineering works.
• To attend site, progress, variation and coordination meetings Interpret drawings and contract documents on works to be carried.

Job Requirement

• Recognized Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering acceptable for registration with the PE Board, Singapore.
• Accredited with IES/ACES with a valid Resident Engineer Practicing.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience preferably in steel and precast building construction.
• Must be familiar with local Regulations/Codes for Civil and Structural related to building projects.
• Must have experience in condominium project.
• A good team player and experience in leading a team of Resident Technical Officers.
• Carry out regular site checks on Builder and ensure compliance on health and work safety in accordance with MOM.
• Supervision of C&S and Architecture works by identifying any non-conformity of contractor’s works on site.
• Strong ability to interpret the drawings and contract documents on works to be carried.
• Supervision and manage site supervisors with respect to C&S and Architecture Work.
• Ability to resolve site and technical issues, prepare and document detailed site progress reports.
