Manage the day-to-day activities of the procurement, both Furuno and non-Furuno equipment, parts and accessories. Job Summary

The Contract Specialist will act as a key member of the Supply Chain (Procurement) team and will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating supplier contracts or subcontracts. This includes handling standard supplier contracts in the field of 3rd party personnel, equipment, MRO, etc., as well as managing subcontractor agreements. The Contract Specialist will ensure that contractual risks are identified, properly evaluated, and mitigated.

About the Role

• Draft, review and negotiate supplier contracts (including sub-contracts) in line with templates provided by Legal and Fugro policies.
• Act as a key member of the Supply Chain (Procurement) team, participate in commercial and legal discussions with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure that contractual risks are identified, properly evaluated, and mitigated. Raise awareness of contractual risks with internal stakeholders.
• Incorporate contract-flow down clauses from the client contract into the subcontract, in alignment with the Legal team
• Ensure proper procurement contract management, comprising negotiating the terms and conditions of contracts. Procurement contracts also include certifying compliance with the terms and conditions and documenting and agreeing on any changes by both parties.
• Promote the principles of good procurement and contract management practice throughout the company
• Responsible for preparation/review of all relevant contractual correspondence exchanged during project execution to and from the suppliers, subcontractors, and authorities.
• Monitor all contract deliverables and the contract performance as well as identify risks and opportunities. Support handling of supplier claims.
• Assumes overall responsibility for all contractual and commercial issues related to the management of change, including ensuring claims are issued within the timeframes set out in the contract and receiving all required internal approvals preparing, interfacing with involved functions, and negotiating any claims against partners and subcontractors

• Employ creativity and innovation to effectively manage their budget while seeking out cost savings from suppliers.
• Develop and build strategic partnership with key vendors
• Conduct extensive research into future developments within various markets, ensuring they remain up to date with industry knowledge.
• Support localization programs and initiate cost-reduction activities set by the management from time to time or on a regular basis and to meet those targets
• Build rapport with various internal and external stakeholders to identify cost saving opportunities if appropriate
• Lead in process improvement and cost saving projects
• Responsible for compliance with Company Guidelines, Policies and Procedures
• Comply and uphold all procurement processes and policies
• Support monthly reporting for management review as needed
• Manage daily operational purchasing activities
• Build strong working relationships with both internal stakeholders and key suppliers
• Manage contract negotiation based on standard contract template

• Perform sample preparation including cutting, mounting, grinding & polishing on test samples in the lab for daily productions, repair development processes.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible and lead a team of product buyers action related on purchasing, planning, negotiating, on-time delivery of product plan.
• Managing inventory targets and take active steps to make sure inventory remains well-stocked, cost effective to fulfill customer orders and maximize returns within company goals

• At least 5 years’ experience with Supplier Marketing, Distribution or Asset/Inventory Management of which 2 years of managing a team
• Experience in electronics components is an added advantage

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Sourcing, Purchasing, Logistic and Inventory Management
• Communicate with the management, all contractors on the costing estimation

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive global parts sourcing strategy to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of parts
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers in China, India, and ASEAN, negotiate, and establish contracts, and maintain relationships to ensure a reliable and competitive supply chain
• Monitor supplier performance and compliance with quality, cost, and delivery requirements, and implement corrective actions as needed
• Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and technological advancements related to parts sourcing and procurement
• Analyze and report on key performance indicators and metrics related to sourcing, supplier performance, and cost savings
• Identify and pursue opportunities to reduce operating costs

· Identify slow-moving parts of each direct entity, offered to other entities and dealers; and suggested to return to the PDC

· Minimize the freight, import duty, and tax for each entity

• Collaborate with multiple functions, such as parts planning counterparts, sales, service, and technical teams to lead the part inventory planning process

· Stock parts concerning the truck install base, new truck series, and technical issues database

• Create highly accurate spare part demand forecasts for complex truck series
• Perpetually identify and address risks associated with truck series obsolescence
• Ensure the level of parts inventory can be readily proportioned to the business plan and market strategies of each entity
• Analyse forecast and actual consumption history for trends to maintain optimal inventory levels to meet repair job requirements
• Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory outlooks/forecasts of each entity
• Conduct local vendor evaluation for all the local sourcing parts and services
• Negotiate SNP prices on high-value parts and bulk purchase parts with PDC
• Respond to inquiries, maintain records, attend meetings, and other duties as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum a diploma holder (preferable in Supply Chain Management)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Willing to travel around 40% of the time
• Working knowledge in SAP is a MUST
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision
• Posses good communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in written and spoken Chinese in order to liaise with suppliers in China
