Besides start-up support and career mentoring for junior faculty, their Ph.D. students are funded by the school rather than paid from their research grants. SCIS faculty members are encouraged to collaborate on innovative research projects and also on integrative and interdisciplinary projects. SMU as well as Singapore government agencies, such as the National Research Foundation, provide generous support for high-quality research proposals.

A noteworthy example of our funded research is the Living Analytics Research Centre (LARC), operated jointly with Carnegie Mellon University; LARC focuses on building technologies for Social Media Sensing and Analytics, and applying them in Singapore’s Smart Nation initiatives. In the area of Cybersecurity, SCIS has a Secure Mobile Centre that conducts research into mobile device, cloud, and platform security.

Our Education. SCIS has more than 70 students taking the Ph.D. in Information Systems and Ph.D. in Computer Science programmes. Ph.D. students can concentrate in any of our computer science oriented research areas, or in our management science oriented Information Systems & Management research area.

SCIS recently launched a new Professional Doctoral Degree, Doctor of Engineering (EngD). The programme aims to train students to become IT leaders with deep technical expertise for innovating, designing and managing complex IT systems.

SCIS also offers Master of IT in Business (MITB), a professionally oriented coursework programme, which has more than 400 students. The programme supports a Financial Technology & Analytics track focusing on FinTech and the integration of Technology & Operations in Banking, an Analytics track focusing on applied analytics for business, consumer and social insights, as well as an Artificial Intelligence (AI) track that emphasises building AI-enabled business applications.

Additionally, we have over 1,800 undergraduate students in our B.Sc. (Computer Science), B.Sc. (Information Systems) and B.Sc. (Computing & Law) programmes. Position Summary

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct periodic routine inspections and tasks on M&E building facilities such as Aircon, electrical, wiring, plumbing etc
• Assist in the supervision of maintenance and servicing works carried out by service contractors and sub-contractors such as landscape, pest control, and cleaning etc
• Attend to residents’ feedback to carry out carry out handyman and breakdown maintenance works in premises such as electrical, sanitary, servicing to electrical and plumbing defects, painting work, building / estate repair works etc
• Assist other duties assigned by direct supervisor at the building estate from time to time
• 5.5 working days, alternate Sat off after confirmation
• AWS and performance bonus will be given for eligible staff

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years of Facilities / Property Management and Maintenance experience
• Higher NITEC / NITEC in Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering with minimum 2 years of experience in building / facilities servicing and maintenance
• Equal to NITEC which recognized technical certificates in Mechanical & Electrical, Building Services, Facilities Technology, ACMV or equivalent
• Good knowledge in building, mechanical & electrical systems
• Able to interact with people and a good team player

3. Strategic Approach: Experience in formulating category strategies while maintaining a hands-on approach in collaboration with stakeholders.

About the Department

The Cloud and Corporate Infrastructure (C&CI) department successfully established an effective, secure, and compliant cloud infrastructure, running on both AWS and Azure in a global setup. The department has 15 highly skilled Cloud Advisors, Senior Software Engineers, and Automation Professionals. The current agile teams are global and consist of team members from the USA, Denmark, and India. All teams work closely with numerous business stakeholders and colleagues in Digital, Data & IT (DD&IT). This role will report to People Leader of Cloud & Corporate Infrastructure – Cross EMEA currently based in Denmark.

The position

The new APAC Cloud Product team will be covering both Cloud enablement in China and APAC region. The team will be in charge of providing cloud advisory and be hands-on involved in relevant PoC cloud projects across APAC region. Also, in charge of developing and operating the China Landing zones for Azure and AWS including Account/subscription vending, Security and compliance Guardrails, Identity and Access management, Integration to Global Landing zones and connectivity to on-prem systems, operations of the platforms, and Vendor Relationship Management with AWS/MS China. The main objective is to provide our lines of business with a secure and responsive platform for them to build on amazing solutions.

This position will be one out of six Product Owners within Cloud Infrastructure area and will collaborate closely with colleagues from Global Information Security and Compliance to continually improve the security posture and qualification of all Azure and AWS workloads. In the agile setting, you will also collaborate with the Area Responsible VP, the Product Manager for Cloud, The People Leaders, and other Product Owners in Cloud Infrastructure and across DD&IT. You will lead and establish a team of talented individuals based in Singapore and China and will require some business travel. Additionally, you are expected to stay ahead on industry trends and assess new products, services, and technologies, as well as evaluate the feasibility of concepts and services from the global platform teams.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Prioritizing product deliverables in alignment with the Global Cloud Product Manager and the cloud product area working out of Denmark.
• Driving the dialogue with key stakeholders in the APAC region to understand new needs and requirements, as well as inspiring the business to utilize the cloud products and services.
• Help accelerate the cloud transformation in APAC region which encompasses the full value chain from research and development to manufacturing and commercial areas.
• Guide cloud solutions for regulated environments, deliver new solutions in Novo Nordisk's Asia-Pacific region, and collaborate globally to drive innovation.
• Solving ad-hoc technical challenges together with end-users and assigned teams throughout the organization.
• Communicate technical solutions to business stakeholders in a comprehensible manner, sometimes to a technical audience and other times to a business audience.
• Prioritizing development needs and ensuring progress with Cloud Engineers in China. Following up on changes and advising on systems that are run in China.

Qualifications

• Must have an IT-related education at BSc level or higher, and/or several years of relevant professional experience within IT development or architecture.
• Must have at least 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure Cloud and/or AWS Cloud in a large, global organization or maybe as a consultant.
• Experience as Product Owner is preferred.
• Experience from regulated industries including pharmaceutical area operating in the APAC region and experience with China’s data protection laws and regulations are considered a distinct plus.
• Highly motivated individual by challenging assignments, can absorb new knowledge quickly, and always open for developing new competencies. Must be fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin.

Overview
