• Prepare test plans for qualification of raw materials and new process.
• Survey market on process and material technologies with regards to product packaging.
• Assist in evaluation of possible cause/s for problems encountered in the plant or from clients and recommend solutions.
• Evaluate and specify the appropriate test instruments, as well as, quality testing procedures of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods.
• Conduct life cycle assessment on products and processes to propose green alternatives
• Other product and process related tasks may be assigned from time to time.
• Awareness of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems and policy, including the implications of nonconforming to the requirements and the assessment of occupational risks and hazards.
• Schedule regular communication with employees to discuss expectations and challenges, and help to remove obstacles related to product safety and quality.
• Act on comments and suggestions from employees about product safety and quality seriously, and regularly encourage employees to offer ideas about improving product safety and quality.
• Allocate time for employees to receive product safety and quality training, as well as regular updates and refresher sessions.

Requirements:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with the program team to define product requirements and finalize scope, delivery, and risk mitigation plans for firmware programs.
• Lead technical feasibility assessments of key product features and work closely with firmware project managers to ensure alignment with program objectives.
• Partner with R&D teams to identify firmware deliverables for each hardware phase and coordinate with firmware asset teams to meet product requirements.
• Review test plans and high-level test scope with firmware quality lead, ensuring comprehensive coverage of firmware testing activities.
• Drive the resolution of firmware issues with asset teams and lead task forces to triage complex system issues as needed.
• Collaborate with partners in defect reviews to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Drive key firmware milestone activities, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to program timelines.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering/Information Technology/Electronic Engineering or related IT field.

• Minimum 2 years of working experience in relevant IT field.
• Experience in embedded firmware development in RTOS environment.
• Experience in various phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Experience in source code management tools (E.g., Git).
• Experience and proficiency in C/C++ are an advantage.
• Understanding of firmware testing methodology, including Test Driven Development and writing automated tests.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Collect feedback and craft various problem statements within the organisation to support innovation pipeline and to ensure that each stage of the design thinking framework process is applied to each initiative.
2. Assist Head of Innovation in to framing and crafting the appropriate narrative for project briefs, progress reports, etc.for each new innovation to be tested and or deployed.
3. Scoping and managing innovation initiatives / projects for feasibility of solutions/products to solve unique problem statements faced by the YCH Group’s world class operations and customers.
4. Deployment of various solutions in accordance with the company’s innovation roadmap. This includes, but is not limited to, project management, gathering of requirements, solution design, implementation, verifying efficacy of proposed solution, training, etc.

JOB TASKS AND SPECIFICATIONS

1. Work with the Head of Innovation to design and implement innovation projects throughout the innovation cycle (from problem statement framing, requirement gathering, project management and ideally regional deployment of successful projects).
