As a System Engineer, your mail purpose is to provide Maintenance and Operation Support for Data Center Common Infra Structure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement and manage Windows-based infrastructure and associated technologies.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Manage and handle BYD Vehicles, Equipment and Energy storage system (ESS) technical and Engineering issue. This include but not limited to:

1. Managing and lead in handling BYD systems (vehicles, equipment, etc.) and ESS Engineering and technical matters.
2. Engineering, aftersales & pre-sales (project) support such as：

• Life cycle cost calculation & proposal.
• Assist in technical support, with different departments & Headquarters.
• Test and inspection requirements before handing over to customer & after-sales。
• Manage BYD System and ESS integrated logistics support requirements such as spares, training, tools/ special equipment, manual, catalogue etc.
• Manage BYD system and ESS RAMSS (reliability, availability, maintainability and sustainability and safety).
• Point of contact for sub-contractors for BYD System and ESS.
• Point of contact to authority and Headquarters BYD. Ensure regulatory compliance. Work closely and keep constant communications with engineering and technology units from Headquarters (such as Shenzhen etc.) China for continuous improvement and enhancement to BYD System and/ or Electric Vehicles (EV).
• Monitor, update and improve BYD System and ESS related system and procedure etc.

Training Management and training instruction. Assist to conduct training for BYD Products, this includes by not limited to:

1. Assist in conducting of product training for BYD.
2. Assist training coordinator in managing & handling training related matters in BYD Singapore.
3. Assist to conduct all BYD training courses as per directed by your supervisor. This includes internal and/or external, technical and/ or product training for both internal and external customers, new model/ product training for technical staff, Sales & Workshop staff for all BYD equipment such as EV, ESS, Charger courses etc.
4. To attend all courses as per directed by your supervisor whether locally or overseas and deliver the knowledge to participants instructed by BYD.

Exchange program with HQ - Communication with HQ and Singapore counterpart, plan work/ training schedule, arrange for visa and etc.

Job Requirements:

1. Electrical or mechanical Engineering degree from a recognised university or Diploma in engineering with 3 years of working experience
2. Conversant with Microsoft office
3. Candidate from Automotive or transport related sector would have a favourable standing.
4. Good command in Mandarin and English in order to liaise with China HQ colleague.

Job Requirements

As part of BOSCH’s business expansion strategy, our Security Solutions Business Unit is seeking for a technical competent System Engineer to join our team in Singapore office.

Provide support on system hardware/software design, solving of technical issues, perform Testing and Commissioning (T&C) of the entire system.

Project Planning: 15% of time involved

• Identify any non-conformity of project requirements on security systems design proposal 
• Support on the design for equipment console & 19" racking system for SMS/CCTV system equipment
• Design of the interconnecting cabling requirements for all equipment in the console & racks
• Liaise with 3rd party vendor on detail equipment listing & configuration requirement
• Establish the requirements for 3rd party system implementation & integration to SMS/CCTV system
• Establish overall system design configuration for implementation
• Customization of interface Control Panel & circuit termination drawing designs for SMS/CCTV System including schematics

Project implementation: 35% of time involved

• Coordinate with project team on the T&C schedule for manpower deployment. Survey site condition & readiness for T&C if necessary.
• Liaise with vendor/Project staff in setting up of the control room equipment
• Ensure proper equipment installation compliance to approved design drawing
• Support for Project staff on installation of CCTV field device
• Interact & work with consultant to understand CCTV configuration requirement

Testing and Commissioning (T&C): 40% of time involved

• Lead the T&C team to commission field devices according to the checklist & schedule given
• Setup & commission fiber, video, data equipment/system
• Setup, configure & commission the CCTV Switcher System to meet consultant's defined requirements
• Preparation of training manuals & conduct system maintenance training to client's appointed maintenance staff
• Preparation of training manuals & conduct system operation training to client's appointed operational staff

Reporting: 10% of time involved

• Reporting various system T&C status with respect to milestone schedule to Section Head
• Reporting all technical problem hindering T&C progress to Section Head
