Working with the development team, you will be responsible for the design development, documentation, testing and delivery of the software solution for an Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system.

The activities required to be performed shall include the following:

• Requirements gathering;
• Design, development, and maintenance of the software;
• Preparation and submission of deliverables throughout the software development lifecycles such as Business Rules, Software Requirement Specifications, Software Architecture Document, Design Specification, Interface Specifications, Source Codes, Testing Specification, Operation and Maintenance Manual, Training Manual and others documents as required in the standard adopted by the Authority;
• Assist the Authority with day-to-day application support issues; and
• Liaise with users on the requirement, design and testing issues.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Recognised degree in Computer Science, IT or engineering with at least 5 years’ relevant experience in software development;
• Gone through at least one full software development lifecycle (SDLC) with experience in producing SDLC documentations;
• Extensive experience in analysing requirements, designing, development and delivering complex enterprise applications in Java/JEE, web programming on UNIX / LINUX and Windows environment;
• Proficiency with database programming such as SQL and DAO, and relevant experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Experience in Spring Framework and Spring Boot;
• Experience in Software Modernization, Containerization, Microservices;

• Provide technical support for incoming queries and issues related to desktop support, mobile device management, video conferencing.
• Install and configure new IT equipment, perform PC Refresh, deploy new hire installs of equipment, PC moves, retirement and pickup of devices set for retirement.
• Wipe drives with proper chain of custody and inventory management.
• Resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware.
• Installation of new hardware for customers, such as new monitors, docking stations, or keyboards devices.
• Accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system.
• Resolving service delivery and client issues in a timely professional manner.
• Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing deliveries. 
• Perform regular audits of datacentre equipment to ensure inventory controls are met.
• Movement of equipment using pallet jacks or other assisted lifting equipment. 
• Work within a ticket-based environment. 
• Perform destruction of data-bearing devices (ex. hard drives, solid-state drives, etc.). 
• Perform material movement, including shipping/receiving and inventory management. 
• Perform shift-based tactical management tasks such as prioritising ticketing queues, resolving escalations, and clearing blocking issues to enable continued delivery of Inventory and Asset activities in accordance with Microsoft’s internal policies and service level agreements. 
• Flexibility to work non-standard business hours that may include weekends and/or holidays.

Requirements:

• Six (6) months of experience supporting Inventory Control, Logistics, or Warehouse Management. 
• Ability to support frequent standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights with or without equipment assistance. 
• Able to communicate effectively. 
