Job Responsibilites:

• Manage Time Attendance System
• Perform work permit/SPass application, renewal, cancellation
• Check overtime, allowances and attendance and input into system for payroll
• Payroll processing and tax clearance
• Assist recruitment process
• Maintain employee records in HRIS system
• Administer Leave E-Portal
• Prepare employment, confirmation, salary increment and bonus letters
• Process employees' claims
• Generate reports for surveys
• Co-ordinate training courses
• Manage employee grievances and disciplinary issues
• Organize company functions, events and gifts arrangement to customers
• Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of facilities (e.g lockers)
• Manage and liaise with vendor on office equipment maintenance
• Procurement and administer office stationeries, staff uniforms, beverages
• Any other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/Certificate in Human Resource or equivalent
• Min 2 years of relevant working experience in manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of Info-Tech software will be an added advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Bilingual in English and Chinese (this role requires to communicate with Mandarin speaking staffs)
• Maintain confidentiality at all times
• Resourceful, flexible, take initiatives and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• High level of integrity, responsibility, good team player and can-do and positive working attitude
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
• Meticulous and well organized
• Have a sense of urgency
• Able to work beyond working hours during payroll period or if necessary
• Able to commence work immediate or short notice
• 5 days work week, 8.30am - 5.30pm

The Nanyang Centre for Public Administration (NCPA) at the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore invites applications for Research Fellow. The main theme of fellowship is on “The New Political Economy and Public Governance in a Globalizing Asia”, with a focus on China and/or Southeast Asia (Singapore in particular), including ASEAN integration in the context of changing geopolitics and the new international political economy, such as the RCEP and Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Job Responsibilities

• Work closely with Director of NCPA, who will serve as the primary mentor, and other research staff at NCPA as well as the School of Social Sciences
• Help coordinate NCPA's research activities within NTU (including the Lien Ying Chow Legacy Fellowship Programme) and with external partners

Job Requirements

• PhD in one of the relevant fields of Asian studies, international political economy, political science, public policy, sociology, ethnic studies, and global history. Interdisciplinary and comparative approach to Asian political economy in the context of globalization and new geopolitics is also welcomed
• Demonstrated records in publication and research activities in the relevant research themes. Preference will be given to those who have experiences in the Asian region and are able to connect area studies with on-going discourses about the international political economy and public governance
