Job Purpose:
This role holds responsibilities for the Membership Services, Front Office and Club’s Constitution and Bye-Laws. He / She work closely with the General Manager to implements membership-related and value-added services to meet members’ need and expectations.
Job Responsibilities:
Membership Sales, Membership Rules & Regulations, Project/Event Responsibilities
1. Works closely with the Marketing Team to raise Membership Sales, Member Relations and Member Retention.
2. Develops a keen understanding of Membership policies, rules and regulations, available facilities and services, on-going programmes, events and activities to carry out the front-end function in increasing the Club’s membership value.
3. Works closely with the General Manager/Secretary and Chairman of the Rules & Membership Sub-Committee in rolling out marketing strategies and implementation of new Membership sales initiatives and programmes.
4. Develops strong working relationships with membership brokers.
5. Supports the General Management team for the Club’s Annual General Meeting and Extraordinary General Meeting.
6. Responsible for the overall budget and expenditure for the Membership department.
7. Responsible for meeting the targets set out for membership transfers for each fiscal year.
8. Motivates staff to work closely as a team to provide members a seamless experience from the Front Office team as a frontline and Membership Services as a back-end.
9. Reviews and implements administrative processes for the Membership department and ensures consistency of procedures according to Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs).
10.Ensures a consistently high level of customer service at the Front Office and also from the Membership Services team.
11.Works closely with the Marketing Team to meet the yearly targets of Membership Transfers.
Member Value Enhancement/Membership Privileges
12. Evaluates new membership privileges for recommendation to the General Manager.
13. Conducts a regular review of the viability of the Club’s existing privileges.
14. Develops key relationships with Club partners and sponsors.
15. Sources new opportunities with partners and sponsors.
16. Negotiates Club-wide sponsorship deals for events and other targeted activities/areas of the Club to create brand awareness for sponsors.
Legal & Disciplinary Related Responsibilities
17.Ensures the consistent application of membership policies in accordance to the Club’s Constitution and Bye-Laws.
18. Handles all legal and administrative matters pertaining to Club membership as well as disciplinary proceedings.
Reciprocal Clubs
19. Oversees and liaises with reciprocal Clubs to enhance member experience.
20. Evaluates new reciprocal Club requests for recommendation to the General Manager and Management Committee.
21. Conducts a regular review of the viability of the Club’s existing reciprocal club partners.
Manage Teams and/or Departments
22. Communicate common goals, direction and accountability among staff
23. Develop staff by coaching, mentoring and engaging career discussions
24. Exhibit effective performance management practices within department in accordance with
organizational policies and procedures
25.Monitor budgets, forecasting, work allocations and staffing of the various departments
Others
26. Any other duties/projects as assigned by Supervisor and/or Management.
27.Follow the workplace safety and health system, safe work procedures or safety rules implemented at the workplace.
28.Not engage in any unsafe or negligent act that may endanger yourself or others working around you.
29.Use personal protective equipment provided to you to ensure your safety while working. You must not tamper with or misuse the equipment. Any other tasks as assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: -

Minimum Diploma qualifications

2-3 years of relevant experience in the same capacity of work preferred
