He/she shall report and reject all irregularities or non-conformance prescribed specifications and quality standards as specified to the QC Technician / Operation Executive.

5. He shall do accurate transfer of items from one warehouse to another in ERP accordingly and assign serial number in ERP, if necessary.

8. He/she shall raise a non-conformance report / GRR to the respective goods, which are having discrepancy and not compliance with specifications/ requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a quality engineering position. The incumbent shall execute the quality assurance role with good technical rationale and understanding, acquired from developing an appreciation of the industry practices, and applicable technology developments.Scope of work includes quality assurance planning, supplier management, in-process quality control design and outgoing quality controls. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Planning

• Develop and implement quality control plan for adequacy and suitability for the production and during new product introduction
• Drive improvement of material, process and product quality by monitoring quality indicators (SPC, defect rates)
• Non-conforming materials and products management
• Benchmark, develop/innovate and implement inspection methods and procedures to meet quality objectives, product quality, quality assurance, technical goals and productivity savings.
• Support customer audits and 3rd party inspection routines (by way of preparing quality data presentation, technical write ups)

Supplier Management

• Manage the qualification of new materials/suppliers & incoming quality of the materials
• Drive supplier quality through audits to ensure conformance to specification and continuous improvement in system, procedures and processes.
• Drives supplier performance through processes, efficient rating system and reviews.

Supervision of Quality Inspectors that support Production Operations

• Manage team of quality inspectors on daily routines and communications
• Plan shift activities with inspector team leads

Projects

• Develop understanding of product reliability and its corresponding components' contribution (based on product performance characterization and defect understanding)
• Support product qualification process (Provide quality requirements in FMEA, SPC, DOE, Control plan and other processes and procedures as required/suitable)

Quality Management System

• Participate in internal quality audits to drive conformance and continuous improvement in product quality
• Execute in accordance to QMS requirements (ensure timely updates to documents, WI, SOPs)

Communication and Presentation

• Ability to communicate and present at all levels of the organization.

Technical / Professional:

• Minimum bachelor's degree (engineering discipline). Preferably Mechanical or Electrical.
• Engineering knowledge in SPC controls or lean and six sigma methods and software tools.
• Engineering knowledge in using quality tools for problem solving
• Aptitude in higher level use of Excel (E.g.: Formulas and Macros) is an added advantage

Technological:

• Interest in following up and developing understanding of the technological developments in the industry on both products and components
• Expect to develop as an expert in Quality Management Systems and related standards and requirements (ISO 9001, IEC62941), if not already adept.
• Experience in reliability engineering would be advantageous.

General:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Thoroughly understand regulatory standards and requirements. Able to effectively apply them on Large Format and 3D printers operations.
• Perform regular audits at manufacturing partners and suppliers (as applicable) to ensure compliance.
• Actively review engineering changes to ensure no impact to product stewardship compliance.
• Work on issues of moderate complex scope, identifying root cause, resolution, and improvement plans.
• Identify and address non-conformances. Exercise independent judgment with defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action and plan. Evaluate unique circumstances and makes recommendations.
• Work closely with cross functions teams, global business units, to ensure close collaboration, to achieve desired results.
• Manage quality assurance of end-to-end operations at manufacturing partners, for the manufacturing of large format operations.
• Develops and maintains an effective Product Quality Assurance Plan, to ensure all large format products manufactured continuously meet the required quality requirements during prototype builds to mass production.
• Drives continuous quality improvements, while meeting quality goals and aspire to exceed expectations.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Material Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

• Able to manage quality inspectors and technicians, in performing quality inspections and audits.

• Good grasp of the elements of Quality Management System for manufacturing operations would be a plus.

Job descriptions:

• Perform CNC programming for precision parts as per drawing or technical specification.
• Perform CNC milling & lathe programming and setting of CNC machines.
• Check materials and tools required to perform programming.
• Set parameters (feed rate, speed, etc) according to materials and tools selection in order to achieve optimum speed.
• Perform progressive machining operations for precision parts.
• Troubleshooting.
• Perform details machining process plan and estimate cycle time.
• Technical support for daily manufacturing process including design jig & fixtures.

Requirements:

• Diploma qualification in Precision Machining or Mechanical engineering or Equivalent.

• Familiar with CAM software like Mastercam & UG is an advantage

• Provide technical support with focus on laboratory work scope expansion and development to achieve better efficiency and higher productivity.
• Metcal Implementation to improve the productivity.
• Performing and Managing In-house and Onsite calibrations

Specific responsibilities:

• Expand laboratory work scope for Dimensional and Mechanical fields.
  Be an approved Local Accreditation Body signatory for Dimensional and Mechanical fields of calibration in the laboratory.
• Arranging recalibration of standard equipment’s before due date through ISO/IEC 17025 accredited labs having better CMC, reviewing the certificate of master instruments and periodically updating the Master equipment’s list.
• Regularly updating the drift records of master instruments
• Reviewing and approving the calibration certificates
• Improving the delivery performance by getting the work done from the team as per plan and delivering instruments within committed TAT.
  Identify training needs and provides training for staff.
• Increase calibration productivity and efficiency by adopting improved systems and methods.
• Arranging & performing preventive maintenance, in service checks, inter laboratory Comparison (ILC) and Proficiency Testing (PT) as per planner.
• Ensure laboratory procedure are up to-date with regular review. Develops and improves calibration procedure and prepare CMC calculations.
• Assists in maintaining laboratory Quality Management Systems as per ISO 17025, To be well prepared for the internal and external audits.
• Manages laboratory technical functions in accordance with Local Accreditation Body standards.

• Scheduling for collection and delivery of Instruments, also for the pickup and drop of calibration officers at onsite

Specific responsibilities:

• Equipment registration, apply the Job Tag on each instrument with accessories.
• Mobilizing the Equipment’s from SMD Stores to corresponding labs upon registration and collecting it back upon completion of calibrations.
• Ensuring the condition of the instruments received and informing the customers through email if any item not received in good condition.
• Scheduling for Instruments delivery and collection with necessary documents i.e. DO, certificates, PO copy if required.
• Scheduling for driver to pick up and drop-off the calibration officers as per on site plan.
• Prepare Delivery Orders
• Packing Master Instruments under supervision of Calibration Executive.
  Whenever required need to drive company van to Collect/deliver the instruments with necessary documents.
• Do Booking in DHL for the subcontract calibrations from overseas labs.
• Scan the customer signed DO’s and save it in share drive
