About The Team
The Global Payment team of TikTok provides payment solutions, including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on the TikTok platform.
What You'll Do
As the FCC Governance and Control Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing the framework for Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) within the organization. Your responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain a robust FCC governance framework, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Organize FCC governance committees, facilitating effective communication and decision-making among key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business units to assess the impact of emerging risks and conduct risk assessments related to financial crime compliance, identifying areas of vulnerability, and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
- Drive the development, review, and implementation of FCC policies and procedures and ensure that policies are in compliance with relevant regulations and are communicated effectively across the organization in partnership with regional and country compliance officers (MLRO).
- Enhance and monitor the effectiveness of FCC controls, ensuring they are aligned with the organization's risk appetite and regulatory expectations.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance awareness and understanding of financial crime compliance across the organization.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of training initiatives
- Prepare and present regular reports on FCC governance and control activities to senior management and relevant committees.
- Ensure clear and timely communication of key governance and control developments to internal stakeholders.
- Work with relevant teams to develop and deliver training programs to enhance awareness of FCC governance and control requirements across the organization.
- Build strong relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders, including compliance teams, legal, risk management, and business units, to foster a culture of compliance and effective governance.
Minimum Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of FCC regulations and industry best practices
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in the pursuit of common goals
- Proven experience in developing and implementing governance frameworks and control environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial crime compliance, governance, or related roles
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and mitigate financial crime risks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
