As a Finance Executive, you will be responsible for a diverse range of financial tasks that are crucial to the smooth operation of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Invoicing:
- Create client invoices in the Xero accounting system based on sales quotes generated by the operations team.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness in coding to provide transparent and reliable financial records.
2. Financial Coding and Validation:
- Check and validate coding to maintain the integrity of financial data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in financial reporting.
3. Client Account Management:
- Support account managers in the collection of outstanding amounts from clients.
- Foster positive relationships with clients through effective communication and resolution of financial queries.
4. Payments Processing:
- Process regular and ad hoc supplier payments through online banking platforms.
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
5. Expense Management:
- Process employee expense claims and credit card transactions efficiently.
- Implement and enforce expense policies to uphold financial discipline.
6. Reconciliations:
- Perform supplier statement reconciliations to verify and reconcile outstanding balances.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies to maintain financial accuracy.
7. Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate insightful financial reports and analyses to provide management with key financial insights.
- Contribute to strategic decision-making through data-driven recommendations.
8. Customer Service:
- Handle client and colleague enquiries and requests with professionalism and a customer-centric approach.
- Provide clear and concise explanations of financial matters to non-finance team members.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a finance role, preferably in the events or related industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
