To perform Quality Control functions within the Material Receiving, Label Control, Distribution and Production areas in order to assure material and products are sampled and released in compliance with agreed specifications and timelines.

Responsibilities:

Quality Control functions within Material Receiving:

• Perform incoming goods sampling, inspection and approval.
• Ensure any customer specific requirements have been carried out by Logistics during booking-in and Quality Control during the approval process.
• Sample materials upon customer request.
• Carry out expiry and status changes of materials upon request.
• Travel abroad when required to aid the inspection, approval and sampling of materials for Almac Clinical Services.
• Ensure Sampling areas are cleaned and perform area clears after sampling has been completed.
• Ensure Almac Clinical Services adherence to cGMPs, SOPs and Customer instructions through performance of job function.
• Monitor storage area environmental conditions.

Quality Control functions within Label Control and Distribution:

• Inspect and approve Clinical Labels prior to issuance to packaging operations, distribution and direct dispatch from Almac Clinical Services. Record results electronically.
• Perform electronic inventory transactions to make labels available to Production.
• Advise Label Control and Distribution personnel on accept / reject criteria and on general issues.
• Approve Label Verification projects used to perform a fully automated inspection of labels.
• Approve randomisation files for use by the label verification system.
• Apply and remove electronic holds on distribution orders.
• Perform verification checks on documentation and clinical material prior to distribution from Almac Clinical Services.
• Approve Depot Shipment paperwork.

Quality Control functions within Production:

• Perform regular in-process quality checks on products, processes, room layout and safety to ensure compliance with GMP and Almac Clinical Services procedures Perform end of operation documentation checks and associated electronic transactions.
• Advise Production personnel on accept/reject criteria and on general issues.
• Review log books and perform facility inspections.
• Instruct Production personnel on cleaning methods and perform area clearance checks, this includes the corridors and changing areas.
• Perform sampling and Inspection operations as requested.
• Perform calibration checks on balances and scales used in the Almac Clinical Services facility.
• Accompany Almac approved contractor when performing Environmental Monitoring.
• Travel abroad when required to aid the inspection of labelling operation.
• Perform inspection on JTM related activities e.g. printed clinical labels, labelled clinical materials and review JTM batch documents.

In General:

• Perform Destruction duties as required.
• Assist in client audits.
• Instruct relevant personnel on cleaning methos in the event of spillage.
• Monitor environmental conditions in storage and production areas. Alert QC Supervisor / Manager immediately when there is an excursion of environmental condition.
• Assist with the allocation and prioritising of duties for Materials Receiving, QC Label Control & Distribution and Production personnel.
• Check documentation for completeness and accuracy. Identify any deviations from written procedures and inform relevant personnel.
• Assist and deputise for the Quality Control Supervisor.
• Contribute to the review and writing of quality procedures, including the development of new SOPs and revision of existing SOPs.
• Assist with training and development of QC Materials Receiving, QC Label Control & Distribution and Production personnel.
• Attend meetings when required.

Job Description

The National University of Singapore invites applications for a Research Associate position in the Department of Synthetic Biology Translational Research Program, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Appointments will be on a 1-year contract in the first instance, with the possibility of extension.

Purpose of the post

The Research Associate (RAssoc) will be working closely with the Principal Investigator and a team of researchers on bioprocessing and downstream process development. The RAssoc’s principal role will be to assist in method development and process optimization for research projects requiring bacterial and yeast fermentation as well as provide technical support and training to laboratory users.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Research Associate is expected to:

1. Design and execute fermentation experiments to optimize the production of target compounds/proteins.
2. Develop and scale-up bioprocesses for the cultivation of microbial strains (bacterial, conventional and non-conventional yeasts) from benchtop to pilot scale fermentation.
3. Conduct process optimization studies to improve fermentation performance, yield, and productivity.
4. Lead efforts in developing scalable downstream processes, including but not limited to filtration, chromatography, and other purification techniques.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of strain engineering to fermentation and downstream processes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Analyse data from fermentation and purification experiments, interpret results, and present findings to the team.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during fermentation or purification processes.
3. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence to good manufacturing practices (GMP) and safety guidelines.
4. Stay updated with the latest advancements in bioprocessing and downstream purification technologies and apply them to enhance processes and productivity.
5. Provide technical expertise and support to team members and contribute to the overall success of the group’s translational projects.

Qualifications

The applicant should:

• Masters in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• Proven track record of successfully optimizing and scaling-up fermentation processes for the production of compounds/proteins.
• Expertise in downstream purification techniques, such as filtration, chromatography, and other purification techniques.
• Hands-on experience with various bioreactors, fermenters, and other bioprocessing equipment.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols in bioprocessing.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in data analysis, statistical tools (JMP), and design of experiments (DoE) for process optimization is an advantage.
• Preferably have experience with process simulation and modelling.
• Be able to work both independently and in teams.
• Demonstrates an investigative nature and is attentive to details.
• Demonstrates an ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
• Passion for innovation and staying updated with the latest trends in bioprocessing.

A Day In The Life:

This role will Ensure products manufactured by contract manufacturer meet all defined specifications and are developed and manufactured in compliance with all applicable quality system requirements and provide leadership to work with different Medtronic entities and set up the strong relationship to support the implementation of Quality Systems for the new entity in implementing China localization strategy.

Primary Responsibilities

• Set up the Quality Systems to it meets Singapore, China and requirement countries requirement.
• Establishes quality programs and initiatives to ensure products and assemblies are developed and manufactured per applicable requirements.
• Establish strong supplier control and Quality oversight over suppliers and Medtronic entities.
• Driving continual and preventive improvement of quality management systems in supporting the conformity of process and product quality.
• Supports and develops systems for the identification, analysis, correction, and prevention of quality issues.
• Contributes quality expertise to product development and manufacturing transfers including working closely with suppliers to implement robust manufacturing processes and Quality oversight.
• Oversees and lead key quality systems processes to ensure its effectiveness which includes Design Control, Supplier Controls, Quality Planning, Document Controls, Training, Audits, Change Controls, Nonconformance CAPA, Manage External Requirement, etc.
• Leads the site audit readiness and manages, conducts and coordinates external (Singapore, China, ISO, etc.) audits.
• Take preventive actions to improve the compliance and effectiveness of Quality Management Systems by proactive learning from other sites and best practices from the industry.
• Provides QA support, participate and collaborate with Operating Units improvement program
• Works with local management team members in developing long and short-term quality goals and strategies.
• CAPA board memberParticipate in CAPA and board meetings to review the trending of all input sources and determine if any further action is needed

Your Role

Quality Assurance Specialist is to promote and integrate quality into every aspect of our BioReliance® biologics safety testing business in Singapore. The role is to perform batch record review (i.e. data audits) to support all aspects of quality operations to ensure that laboratory testing operates in full compliance with sound scientific practice, GxP and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The scope of responsibility is to contribute or impact the results of the QA team and is accountable for the quality of own work, solve problems of low complexity independently by identifying and selection solutions and by analyzing information.

The post holder will be able to perform the following functions independently, with minimal guidance.

What You Do

• Batch record review: Review and approval of GxP documents, including Protocols, Technical Specification (TS), Batch Records, Workbooks, SOPs and all other QMS documentation.
• Batch record review: Comply with all applicable policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Batch record review: Conduct in-process or final audits and approval on manufacturing or testing documentation as they comply with the stated regulatory standards and the approved TS, protocol or SOPs.
• Batch record review: Release of the certificate of analysis for GMP testing against the TS and associated documentation.
• Batch record review: Prepare QA statement within each GLP final report specifying inspections date, and dates findings were reported to the Study Director and management.
• Review and approve deviations, anomalous results, OOS, positive results and CAPAs.
• Assist in investigations from events, complaints or data audits.
• Conduct trend analysis for deviations and review / approve applicable CAPA records.
• Assist self-inspections to ensure continuous improvement.
• Perform and support client audits, regulatory inspections.
• Perform and support internal audits.
• Perform and support supplier audits.
• Comply with Health and Safety Executive regulations and undergo relevant training modules when required and actively takes necessary action when encountering unsafe situations.
• Perform their duties according to the principles of Good Laboratory (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

The Sourcing Specialist plays a supportive role for the GSC (Global Supply Chain) Strategic Sourcing Managers. Their responsibilities include assisting with contract services procurement, contract execution, and supplier onboarding. Essentially, they extend the capabilities of the Global Supply Chain Sourcing Managers by providing tactical support in these areas

Supply Chain Management – Onboarding New Suppliers:

• Facilitate the onboarding process for new regional/site suppliers using company’s specific onboarding tool.
• Ensure supplier vendor codes are ready in the system before the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
• Applicable to all categories.

Contract Services Procurement – Various Categories:

• Conduct RFPs for multiple sites simultaneously.
• Evaluate commercial bids and ensure consistent scope understanding among bidders.
• Review contract documents for quality.
• Prepare the Award Recommendation Letter (ARL) for GSC and DCE.
• Coordinate contract routing for timely signatory.
• Relevant for indirect services only, particularly professional services.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of Indirect Sourcing (Procurement) experience is a must have. Contract management experience would be secondary.
• Well-versed in program / project management i.e. looking at cost, adhering to timelines etc. Proven track-record of managing high demands and high attention to detail given the nature of the role
• Cost management experience from a procurement perspective

JOB CONTENT:

1) Weekly management of the Customer backorder report with a turnaround time of 48 – 72 hours for a complete review.

2) Work and assist the Sales team in managing their Customer pre & post shipment.

3) Support and drive the requirements generated by Customer Bond Constraint Report related to fulfillment of bonded parts in their BIM program.(If applicable)

4) Escalate all their issues or challenges in fulfilling their assigned task to their CSS management in the most appropriate timeline to seek guidance on resolution.

5) Manage customer’s portal update and customized report if required.

6) Update customer production change requirement within Future System to optimize inventory planning.

7) Elevate any potential delivery shortfall to respective sales personnel for awareness and communication.

Summary:

Responsible for liaising with the Project Team for the Contract functions on the projects to which they are assigned. Provides the focal point for the Contract packages assigned to and related activities on the project, liaising with the Project Manager, the client, and all disciplines including the Supply Management Director and the Project Contract Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Comply with work processes, procedures, instructions and guidelines, including Contract Execution Plan, Co-ordination Procedure and Quality Plan;
• Prepare cost estimates and submitted for review to the Contract Manager prior to submission to the Project Manager;
• If required, engage the market using processes, procedures, instructions and guidelines as written out in the Contracts strategy;
• Responsible for: Project setup including systems and tools; Contract management of Contractors and Service Providers; Change and dispute managements; Prepare contractual letters and correspondences; Defend and resolve claims expeditiously; Maintain systems and tools for reporting; and Issuing Contract status reports.
• Maintain the Contracts plan in conjunction with Construction, Project Management, Engineering, and Planning;

• Ensures Change Orders are issued as appropriate, invoices are received, checked, and approved, and all claims or back charges are resolved;
• Ensures Contracts files are always maintained and are current;
• Keeps abreast of market conditions and maintains regular communications with key Contractors;
• Advise Contract Manager and Supply Management Director of potential new sources of supply, and of current supplier’s performance;
• Provides Contract support to estimates when required;

What is your mission?

Purpose of role:

This role will focus on improving internal testing processes and be hands-on with both manual and automation software testing. The role will support several key web product initiatives and ensure high quality software release to our customers, both internal operations team and external customers.

Responsibilities:

• Identify testable events and develop the test cases / test scripts. Leverage the testing process and test tools to create re-useable test assets.
• Implement related testing missions, including but not limited to Test plans, Test environment, Test cases, Test reports, bugs tracking, and regression test, based on the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

Role Purpose:

Verifies and Approves Vendor Tests and Reports - Witnesses and approves tests (including applicable destructive and non-destructive tests), as well as Quality inspection and testing reports submitted by contractor/vendor to ensure adherance to quality requirements

Monitoring and Prevention of Incidents - Raises Observations and NCR reports and liaises with the Classification Certification Authority/Customer on acceptance of work and providing support in incident notification and investigation, as well as implementation of preventive measures.

Agility to Evolving Specifications - Adheres to change management procedure when technical/site queries are raised and agreed by relevant parties if any deviation to Specifications/approved procedures is required

Monitoring of the Delivery Process - Manages timely resolution of quality issues arising from each vendor to ensure the equipment/package arrives on site with zero / minimal carry-over work.

Raising Punch Lists - Witnesses and completes applicable A-ITR’s by verifying each line item, as well as raises punch-lists and clears rectification of punches as applicable in respective discipline, to ensure the delivery in full with adherence to quality requirements

Qualifications:

Structure – CSWIP 3.1/AWS or Equivalent.

Piping – CSWIP 3.1 /API 570 or Equivalent.

Painting – NACE level II or Equivalent.

Electrical – ATEX or Equivalent.

Mechanical- Certifications related to mechanical discipline, like API 510 preferred.

Well written english and spoken English. Addtional advantage if able to speak and write in Japanese.

Technical Competencies:
