Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Energy Data Management (EDM) Consultant with a strong background in the Power Generation, Transmission, and Distribution sector, both within and outside India. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing energy data, configuring SAP systems, and working with smart metering in a deregulated environment. You will be responsible for end-to-end implementation, configuration, and integration of SAP EDM systems, supporting commercial customers, and optimizing energy management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and participate in 2 to 3 end-to-end SAP EDM implementations for power generation, transmission, and distribution companies.

· Design and implement EDM solutions for commercial customers, including basic and smart metering in deregulated environments.

· Expertise in EDM Data Model, Device Management, and Technical Master Data creation.

· Configure and manage energy data and device categories, including meter reading validations and profile type configurations.

· Implement and configure EDM Master Data profiles, interval length, data storage types, validity periods, and measurement units for energy data capture.

· Manage special energy meters (SEM) and interval-related energy data processing.

· Oversee real-time pricing and settlement based on load shapes and energy consumption patterns.

· Maintain and monitor EDM repositories, ensuring accurate management of energy and energy-related data, particularly in equidistant time intervals.

· Conduct energy consumption forecasting and settlement of energy quantities across utility networks.

· Perform system maintenance activities, including monitoring, health checks, error analysis, and business KPI/trending analysis.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP Energy Data Management (EDM) and utilities industry.

· Strong expertise in EDM Data Model, Device Management, and Technical Master Data creation.

· In-depth knowledge of smart metering, real-time pricing, and settlement processes.

· Experience in integration testing and configuring profile types, meter reading validations, and device categories.

· Familiarity with forecasting energy consumption and settlement of energy quantities in utility networks.

· Excellent troubleshooting skills with experience in regular system maintenance, error, and log analysis.

· Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and deliver high-quality solutions.

Preferred Skills:

· SAP Utilities (IS-U) certification or relevant domain certifications.

· Experience with deregulated energy markets and commercial customer management.

· Prior exposure to global implementation projects in Power Generation, Transmission, and Distribution sectors.
