The Ocular Epidemiological Research Group at SERI conducts ophthalmic epidemiologic research in Singapore and Asia under the Singapore Epidemiology of Eye Diseases (SEED) programme collectively involving over 10,000 study subjects, with comprehensive clinical, image and genetic data. One of the projects including SEED data is ‘Diabetes studY in Nephropathy And other Microvascular cOmplications (DYNAMO-II)’. DYNAMO-II aims to determine the longitudinal relationship between retinal imaging parameters and long-term risk and progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and determine the predictive value of retinal vascular imaging measures in identifying patients at risk of CKD, and other adverse outcomes including renal failure, cardiovascular disease and deaths using both data-derived machine learning and retinal image-based “deep learning” algorithms with validation in different local and international cohorts. DYNAMO also includes a clinical cohort that recruits diabetic patients from clinics to predict the progression of CKD.

Asia Pacific Oncology Drug Development Consortium (APODDC) was formed to foster education and collaboration between key stakeholders of cancer drug development within the Asia Pacific region, thereby improving treatment access to patients. The Lung Cancer Consortium Singapore (LCCS) is looking for a dedicated Research Coordinator (RC) or an associate RC to join the team of coordinators to assist investigators in lung cancer research program.

You will work closely with clinicians, nurses, allied health professionals as well as laboratory staff/scientists during your employment. You are to assist with research subject recruitment, bio-specimen collection, clinical data collection as well as questionnaire administration. The laboratory duties include blood sample processing, assisting pathologist in tissue sample harvesting and DNA/RNA extraction.

In addition, you are encouraged to assist in the Lung Cancer Education and Advocacy for Patients (LEAP) programme, which is an initiative of LCCS to educate, empower and support our patients in their care journey. Other duties may include assisting with physician educational events.

Responsibilities:

As a clinical research coordinator, you will be actively involved in coordinating clinical trial activities according to the study protocol and in compliance to the ICH Good Clinical Practice guidelines and the Health Products (Therapeutic Products) Regulations under the Health Product Act.

You will support and assist the Principal Investigator in the following trial related activities:

• Patient screening and recruitment,
• Monitoring subject’s compliance to their treatment and follow-up,
• Data collection and management including resolving data discrepancies,
• Coordinating the collection of biological specimens,
• Monitoring of adverse events and safety reporting,
• Maintaining and organising of investigator site files, preparation and submissions to the ethics committee and relevant local health authorities,
• Tracking of trial expenditures and timely invoicing.

Requirements:

• Degree in Life Sciences/Nursing
• OR Diploma in Nursing with minimum 6 years working experience as CRC
• 2 years of related working experience will be advantageous

The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) shall help investigators conduct mainly investigator-initiated clinical trials. The CRC has to ensure that clinical trials are conducted and recorded in accordance with the protocol, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines, all applicable regulatory requirements and the Clinical Trials Operations’ Standard Operating Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accomplish the study’s target enrolment as per agreed study timelines or shorter through effective recruitment strategies.
• Regular discussion or follow-up with study team on subject screening & recruitment rates eg. email communication or team meetings with Drs.
• Timely response/followup to email enquiries within 10 working days or less.
• Foster good working relationships and collaborate effectively across all streams to promote operational efficiency
• Invoicing is carried out on time and payment can be received with minimal delays.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Nursing, Degree in Medicine, Pharmacy or Healthcare / biological sciences, preferably with experience in clinical trials or clinical research.
• 1-2 years experience in the conduct of clinical trials, specializing in Heamatology / Oncology interventional trials, governed under Health Product Act.
• Must have knowledge of setting up cell therapy trials.
• Must already been trained in ICH GCP.

Job Responsibilities:

• Source for quotes on procurement of required item/ services.
• Negotiate prices with vendors & manage delivery process
• Manage, train & lead volunteers
• Support planning of the event & on-site operations of SCSM2024 on event week
• Liaise with relevant parties and stakeholders on work specifications and event requirements.
• Monitor and ensure that suppliers/sub-contractors work according to schedule
• Raise PO and close project after the events
• Conduct checks on quality of fabrication by suppliers according to requirements
• Conduct on-site supervision of suppliers and move-in arrangements
• Oversee the smooth execution of the SCSM2024 event.
• Assist the department in any other matters when necessary

All contract staff would need to be prepared to work extended hours for the deliverables leading to events; and be prepared to travel and work on some weekends to deliver events

Skills & Experience Required

• Certificate/Diploma/Degree in events/project management/marketing/Hospitality & Tourism Management.
• Preferably 2-3 years of relevant experience in operation (on-site).
• Efficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
