This a mixed-method project that uses fNIRS neuroimaging technology and interviews to understand parenting and work-from-home behaviours. The project is scheduled to run for three years.

Job Summary:

The Accounts Assistant will provide support to the Accountant in managing the financial operations of the FnB company. This includes assisting with accounts payable and receivable, reconciling financial statements, preparing financial reports, and maintaining accurate financial records. The Accounts Assistant will work closely with other team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of financial tasks.

Responsibilities:

1. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice verification, data entry, and payment processing.

2. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

3. Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records on a regular basis.

4. Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in the accounting system.

5. Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.

6. Help maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor and customer records.

7. Assist with inventory management, including tracking stock levels and conducting periodic physical counts.

8. Support the Accountant in budgeting and forecasting activities.

9. Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies or inquiries.

10. Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

2. Prior experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role preferred.

3. MUST BE Proficient in using accounting software , XERO and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.

4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

5. Excellent organizational and time management skills.

6. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

7. Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

9. Familiarity with FnB industry and related financial processes is a plus.

10. Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage day-to-day procurement and contracts management for facilities management and A&A works.

• Diploma/Advanced Diploma/Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing or Strategic Procurement, Building or Quantity Surveying, Construction/Project Management, or other related fields in building/facilities management.
• At least 5 years of hands-on, relevant experience in procurement and contract management, preferably in the Singapore building industry and in both the private and public sectors, with experience as a consultant or a developer/owner's representative, or both.
• Proficiency in facilities management, project management, contracts management, procurement methodologies, and cost norm evaluation is an added advantage.
