The Research Assistant/Associate who will play a key role in assisting in the development, execution and analysis of research aimed at addressing the challenges of training and operating in rising ambient temperatures. This project aims to investigate the performance of cementitious materials and 3D printed concrete against ballistic and blast loadings. The researcher will be required to cast and fabricate the various cementitious materials and 3D printed concrete, prepare the logistics and perform the relevant ballistic and blast tests. He/she will also be required to set up the numerical models in commercial FE software (e.g. LS Dyna), validated against experimental data, to understand the mechanisms in resisting the high impact loadings for the various cementitious materials.
