Job Responsibilities

This position reports directly to the Executive Director and works closely with the Senior Management in organisational development and compliance matters.

1) Organisational Development

• Work on proposals for organisational development, transformation, change and improvements: including research, and developing new ideas, concepts and structures for change to improve organisation effectiveness and efficiency
• Manage the implementation of approved proposals to effect organisational development, transformation, changes, and improvements, including related processes
• Establish documentations with regards to changes in operations, structure and work processes resulting from organisational development, transformation, changes and improvements

2) Compliance matters

• Management of governance compliance issues within the organisation
• Management, follow-up and co-ordination of matters related to internal and/or external audit
• Management of internal and external communications of the organisation
• To assist in various management issues as directed by the Executive Director
• To provide secretarial support at key corporate meetings, including Board Meetings and various Board Committee Meetings

Job Requirements

• Degree in Business
• Minimum 5 years working experience, preferably in Social Services industry
• Meticulous, analytical and with excellent business writing skills
• Good stakeholder management and organisational skills, strong problem solving and follow up skills
• Proficient in Microsoft office applications
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English
• Experience in change management and / or compliance matters will be advantageous

The Role

We are hiring an Administration Assistant to support the day to day running of the school.

The Context

Astor opened in August of 2019 to provide quality, affordable education to international students. Astor provides a focused and creative learning environment that specifically grows student understanding in English, math and International Primary Curriculum, whilst embracing the humanities, science, art, music, dance and drama as an important too in which to explore thinking and learning. By being intentional in our program, students finish at 1 pm, allowing them the time needed for external coaching, training and programs that have otherwise not been accommodated for extended school days.

Job Responsibilities

· Manage school supplies; inventory, research, ordering, invoicing, deliveries etc.

· Assist in open house events.

· Keeping a tidy reception area for welcoming guests.

· Assist with student’s break time, lunchtime, enrichment classes, buses and pick up.

· Support classroom teachers with their lesson preparation.

· Ad hoc duties as and when assigned by the Parent Communication Officer, Principal or Founder.

· Working hours would be 7:30am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
