• Urban Sustainability and Intelligent Energy Systems

Candidate Profile:

• Possess relevant Bachelor and PhD degrees from reputable universities.
• A good research track record, and postdoctoral experience would be advantageous.
• Research intersects the multidisciplinary field of urban sustainability, sustainable built environment, and intelligent energy systems.
• Urban sustainability, sustainable built environment, and intelligent energy systems in areas of interest including but not limited to urban climate/micro-climate analysis, net zero (carbon and energy) technologies, digitalization of buildings and energy systems, building-to-grid integration and advanced control and optimization methods.
• Demonstrate specialization in experimental methodologies, computational analysis/simulation and data analytics/modelling.
• The ability to develop and conduct an effective experimental, computational/numerical research program in urban sustainability, sustainable built environment, and intelligent energy systems is expected.
• Successful candidates are expected to teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels, supervise graduate students and undergraduate projects. Candidates on tenure-track would also be expected to acquire research funding and conduct research.

RRIS is the leading research institute in rehabilitation, and it is the first of its kind in Singapore to focus on rehabilitation. The project officer in RRIS will provide research and domain expertise in the field of the built environment and its impact on participation, psychosocial wellbeing, and public health indicators. He/she will also contribute expertise in the fields of musculoskeletal, aging and rehabilitation research. This contributes to RRIS’ diversity of work and facilitates interdisciplinary research to achieve excellence in rehabilitation research.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide research and domain expertise in the field of the built environment and its impact on participation, psychosocial wellbeing, and public health indicators
• Contribute expertise in the fields of musculoskeletal, aging and rehabilitation research
• Conduct qualitative research interviews and assessments. This includes coordinating data collection, including and not limited to the recruitment of participants and liaising with external partners.
• Assist in project management – includes ethics application, monitoring project progress, managing audit trail
• Assist in data analysis- To primarily use qualitative tools such as NVivo; to familiarize with quantitative tools such as “R” or Stata, when needed
• To facilitate the planning of the research project and provide support in project administrative matters
• To assist in preparing for manuscripts, reports, poster and oral presentations, abstracts and grant applications
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Degree in therapy, psychology, nursing, social work or any related courses
• Experience in healthcare sector and/or qualitative research is advantageous
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to speak multiple languages and dialects will be advantageous
• Able to work independently
• Keen interest in research and motivated
• Able to problem solve and demonstrate resourcefulness
• Good organizational skills
• Able to work well in a team

• Aerospace Hybrid Propulsion and Electrification

Candidate Profile:

• Possess relevant Bachelor and PhD degrees from reputable universities.
• Good research track record, and postdoctoral experience would be advantageous.
• Research experience should encompass at least one of the following broad areas of Aircraft Propulsion, Aircraft Electrification, Energy-efficient Aeroengines, Hybrid & electric Propulsion, and Green Propulsion Systems.
• Profound expertise in experimental methodologies and/or computational analysis/simulation in at least one of the above areas.
• Familiarity with the application of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and/or Data Analytics in Aircraft Propulsion and related areas would be advantageous.
