A Senior Research Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Assistant Professor Kazuyuki Kasahara at the Novena campus of the LKCMedicine. Gut microbiota influences many areas of human health from immunity to energy metabolism and host physiology. The goal of our research group is to understand how bacterial metabolism, diet-microbe, and microbe-microbe interactions influence cardiometabolic disease using experimental approaches. The RF/SRF will lead a project, recently funded by MOE, that explores the protective mechanisms of butyrate-producing bacteria against atherosclerosis. The Singapore Centre for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering (SCELSE) is a unique interdisciplinary Research Centre of Excellence (RCE), funded by National Research Foundation, Ministry of Education, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and National University of Singapore (NUS).
